Adventuring party

Unread post by thids »

Are there any people with low level characters (or maybe making new ones) interested in forming a proper adventuring party? The nature of the party would be grayish, maybe even "shady" but not neccessarily outright evil. I would be willing to provide regular adventuring hooks for the party with my character. My character is a zhent, hence the grayish nature of the party. Nothing would be pre-determined aside from maybe forming of the party. The rp will determine how things go from there. I don't even have an "end goal" in mind from my side, but it would be fun to "sponsor" an adventuring party in that way. I can get things started and provide a hook for the characters to get together initially, but I'd rather see if there would even be people interested in this kind of stuff before I commit to it.

There are a few issues with it:
Playtimes - while my playtimes are flexible, I am not essential for this concept. My part can be even done through forum rp. However those that are a part of the party should have compatible playtimes

Adventuring - how to prevent people that have nore time on their hands from "running away" in levels? For this reason it might be preferable if these characters were alts and if people who lose the motivation say so asap so that the rest can continue with their adventuring.

Thoughts?

I'm always up for this type of RP and would not be opposed to creating a new PC or utilizing one within whatever level range is determined... My play times are somewhat sporadic as I generally play rarely on weekends and during the week it can be different days, but generally during the hours between 13.00-20.00 GMT when I do play. If you get 3-5 others that are also interested then we can certainly work out a party makeup and play times.

If others are more able to play at the same times I am happy to be left out as well. In either case good luck with the RP!

I have a paladin of Helm that would like to join :D

Joking aside this is a great idea. The most memorable RP i had was here - http://www.bgtscc.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=26741

Even though I am very busy lately, if help is needed to form a party i have the following "shady" characters

- Erebus lvl24 cleric of bane
- Zofos lvl30 wizard/shadow adept
- Xenophon lvl23 thief
- Lucian lvl18 warlock
- Eilotas lvl5 fighter/bodyguard

My playtimes are flexible as well
Mendel - Ranger, Harper, Villi | Elias Raemir The Unyielding Aegis | Tahlaer of the High Forest | Nikos Berenicus - Initiate of the Mirari | Efialtes Rodius - Blood Magus

I would love to be in a regular playing, lowlevel party.
Even more if its one without much muled-over gear. :o

What? You physically CAN'T play without all your uber stuff? :P Come on M3nt! Think of it as an adventure of mediocre proportions!!!

Hm, maybe gear muling could be solved (at least partially) IC somehow. Sort of like a reward? The point is for everyone to have their fun. Though explaining why someone got a regular +3 short sword while someone else got an epic +EVERYTHING long sword could be a bit difficult

I'm going to make a rogue who specialises in locks/traps and is a ranged weapon user if needed. This would be perfect for him. Seems to be a lack of party inclined rogues these days .... My play times are 9pm onwards GMT+10.
Draviir - Luskanite mercenary and trader of exquisite goods.
Quinath Nar - Monastic warrior from Waterdeep

I would love to be part of this, especially shady part,

I play usually from 6pm-11pm GMT and also in the early afternoons work permitting, most weekends too!

Can make any class the party needs to fit in if my time is good for what you guys got going.

What times were you thinking?

If there's a no twinking, no grinding group I'd love to join. I'd play any class any alignment just to be in a group that actually adventures for experience and isn't contaminated by twinking, instead of grinds to 30 then walks around intimidating newbies. One where we pact to delete our characters in the event of a full party wipe would be even better. It's more fun when you have to face real consequences.
