Wood Elf Barbarian suggestions

Unread post by Choggs »

http://nwn2.wikia.com/wiki/Primal_Rager_Brb(20),FB(10)

This is the setup I was going for but I've been hearing a lot are going Barb 20/F 10

I have the stats of the above build level 4. Can I make some ajustmens to make it more effective. I heard one member say Barb 20/Bear 10

Either way I'm open to suggestions.

If you want to make a bear warrior, it doesn't hurt to add 4 fighter levels for mastery. Bears are very powerful pre-epic but falls a little short in the damage department post-epic.

For Brb/Fb, I would suggest taking only 5 levels of FB, 25 levels of barbarian gives you extra +2 dr and a feat.

Not sure how it works, but I thought about B7/F8/BW10/FB5.

A while back someone asked for an unarmed half-orc barbarian,
I came up with these two builds...

Constitution : http://nwn2db.com/build/?238354
Strength : http://nwn2db.com/build/?238352

I guess you could use them as some kind of starting point for a Barbarian 20/Fighter 10 on BGTSCC.

Like that build but not sure I wana do unarmed strike. Will that screw it up if I choose a weapon to focus on?

Unarmed works if you've monk levels or bear warrior (unarmed applies when in bear form)...otherwise not worth it.

Yeah, I picked it on accident and had to re do the character. I'm a twohander focused build that wants to have 27 bar/3 fighter or do I need to throw in some frenzied beserker in there somewhere?

I'm a strength build aiming to dish it out, but still unsure about where I'm going to take it. Suggestions?

My stats are align with that build above but i wanted to be able to wear heavy armor.

1) Create a new 'identical' character. (Some variation in the character name is required)
2) Log into the 'bugged' character, drop your items onto the Nexus floor.
3) Talk to the RCR NPC and delete your character.
4) Login with the new character, and pick up your loot and claim the EXP.
(Almost everyone on the server has done this at some point or another.)

Or if you leveled up just a moment ago, you might be able to ask a DM to remove certain amount of EXP for you to go down a level. (No refunds to be expected.)

So yeah, you are not screwed by taking a wrong feat.

As for:
Choggs wrote:27 bar/3 fighter
It would be better to go for Barbarian 26/Fighter 4 (Since fourth level of fighter grants you a bonus feat.)

However, since 'Epic Barbarians' only gain class based Epic Bonus feats on levels 24 and 28, it is usually better to go for that Barbarian 20/Fighter 10 build.

But the problem is, you want to go for a Wood Elf. (Favored class: Ranger) A Barbarian 20/Fighter 10, or Barbarian 27/Fighter 3, will incur a multiclassing experience penalty. You gain less experience.

So if you want to stick with a Wood Elf, sticking to Barbarian 30 might be wisest, or then we need to look at another PRC to boost your character.

Barbarian/Dragon Warrior
Barbarian/Frenzied Berserker
Barbarian/Anointed Knight
Barbarian/Bear Warrior
Barbarian/Cavestalker?
Barbarian/Dervish
Barbarian/Dragon Slayer
Barbarian/Dread Pirate
Barbarian/Ghost-Faced Killer
Barbarian/Warrior of Darkness

Etc? You can look at most of those custom classes over here: http://bgtscc.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=49035

Thanks for the advice.

I'm looking at going 20 bar/10 F then.

Should I arrange fighter in a sequence or spread it out? Does it matter? How about 4 fighter levels together then rest barbaria man and then come back with the 6 fighter at the end?

That's a good split. Let's you get weapon focus/specialization then focus on getting to epic rage, then back for bonus fighter epic feats along with greater/epic weapon focus.

Great thanks I'll hit 4 fighter before 20 then follow up with 6 fighter at the end.
