Two elves entered Baldur's Gate, that may be recognised as Eowiel and Elyssa from Doron Amar. Many shops were visited and merchants spoken to. They left the city with a tall but flat package.
Elyssa Symbaern - Bladesinger
Isioviel Fereyn - Elven Ranger
Charisa Flomeigne - Scion of Siamorphe

Two humans would be seen escorting a golden haired elven woman through the sharpteeth woods, upon closer inspection one would assume one of them was a paladin, the other perhaps similiar but much older looking, they were stopped on the border of the elven village by a group, a quick talk followed by the two humans returning home in some what of a hurry, the older man casting nervous looks behind himself as they left.

A number of adventures could be seen in the dock wards. One was a ragged looking dwarf, also a golden haired elf lass, there was a gnome in a blue robe and two Hin that were for a while accompanied by a red wizard. They talked with the local beggars and street vendors, paying special attention to a human child. At times passersby's may have heard the dwarf ranting about some one called "The Eye". In the end the group was chased out of the docks after the dwarf was attacked by an irate half-elven woman. One of the Hin incapacitated her with a spell of holding allowing the dwarf to escape. The elven lass remained to talk to the woman, after the spell wore off. The rest of the group may have been seen making a run for the east gate district.

A gift from the Zulkir of Transmutation arrives at the Thayan Enclave of Baldur's Gate.

Image

It is Kanithar, a gladiator who has achieved some national renown and no shortage of notoriety during his gruesome appearances in the arenas of every tharch of Thay over the past several years.

His "liberation" from the pits is rumored to have been a purchase by the Zulkir catering to the jealously of one of his counselors whose wife made no secret of being quite obsessed with the Rashemi barbarian.

Since his arrival Kanithar resides in the Enclave like a shelved trophy. In boredom he gluts himself on the meat and wine of the kitchen, beds the maidservants and sits brooding in the fine lounges speaking barely a word to anyone.

*A man of roughly twenty five winters with a ruddy beard and bald head arrives by caravan just on the outskirts of Baldur's Gate. His dusty and travel stained clothing is simple and his crude staff marks time as he enters the city, searching. He stops at various stands and stalls, speaking to the shopkeepers and asking after the many religious temples in the city. His inquiries seem to return to the temple of Lathander more often than the others. Eventually he inquires at the temples of the goodly deities in the city asking after Lathanderites and the location of their nearest temple.*

An enormous half-orc staggers around with a fistful of nails and rolls of parchment tucked under his arm. He ambles about, hammering his notice haphazardly into all manner of buildings, trees, and wildlife. It reads (in scribbled handwriting and poor spelling):

"Furst Church of Magic Cat God. See 'GRUM' for more infurmatuun."
Grum - Lovable brute with abandonment issues

Rumors spread of a group of adventurers arriving ill within the outskirts of Baldur's Gate. Rumors about from a paralyzing illness to a treachery known as the Blight. Most believe the former over the latter because the Blight was extinguished over a year ago. But panic and fear still are apparent from the seediest locales to the ritziest of hotspots...

In other news...
Hidden: show
Bandits of the northern farmlands are undergoing a severe shortage of general storage containers after the halfling skald Paws, AKA "Cooper's Bane", went on a crusade of intentional damage smashing countless barrels and boxes to smitherines in the bandit's hideout.

"Comin' in 'ere killing everybody - tha's regular bandit cave. But smashin' all our stuff? Now we ain' gots no place fer ta put our stolens!" lamented Bandit Brendan. "Y'go out all nite stealin', bring it on home and dere ain' no place for to keep it but the floor. Paws even smashed ma babies cradle! Now ah've got a floor baby."

Gallows Bird MacKenzie had this to say, "Ma wardrobed done broke an dats last straw far's'ah'm concerned. Ah'm quittin' bandit livin' 'n gawn back ta law school."

Why? No one really knows why. Paws could not be reached for comment. His associate in the crime Kanithar was captured in this deplorable screenshot, standing by watching on with approval as Paws is caught in the very act;

Word in the Baldurian streets is that the caravan of the Sword Coast Commercial Exchange arrived south of Wyrm’s Crossing, wagons filled with construction wood. The cargo had supposedly been ordered by Phoenix Company for building of the guild’s lodge. Indeed, the ones venturing across river Chiontar would see the construction site bustling with renewed energy.

The news of importation of sizable amount of timber brings hope to those looking for other reconstruction efforts in Baldur’s Gate and around. The name of Bladesmiles may be heard, those in the know recognizing the Amnian barons of the wood industry. Apparently, the snows thawed even in the highest passes of Cloud Peaks allowing for driving heavy wagons from Amn proper into Western Heartlands. Who knows, maybe more materials supporting the restoration initiatives would arrive soon?

The Baldur’s Gate taverns also get full of gossip about the dangers of the mountains bordering Sword Coast to the south. Something’s stirring in the Cloud Peaks making restless giants venture far away from their dwellings and adding to the usual danger of yetis. Rumor has it that the caravan guard barely made it alive during routine escapade to investigate caves and ruins near its route. The scouting party trying to secure the flank was ambushed by surprisingly strong group of giants, with mystics among them, no less!

The tales are told mostly by the members of the Phoenix Company who apparently served as caravan guard. Some could be heard complaining that the escort of the cargo was too light, especially given the increased risk of the journey through Cloud Peaks. It seems that strong arms are difficult to hire these days with casualties in the recent war, banditry on the Coast Way and orc raids on the Trade Way all contributing to that phenomenon.

After the sun has found itself high in the sky, a Dawnknight treads through Baldur's Gate, weaving about the destruction and reconstruction of the palace district. He quietly makes his way to the temple of Gond with a travel satchel about his person in a secure and paranoid manner.

After quietly closing the temple door and glancing around to make sure there are not eavesdroppers other than the Faithful of the temple, he steps to Priest Peter Pike and offers a warm smile and introductions.

The priest seems to lead him to a private part of the temple. What is discussed and brought to light behind closed doors remains a mystery to most.

Rumor has it that a blue clothed man, seen in the East District peddling gems of a particular type, has collected some interest, but more importantly, some coin through a small number of sales. It is noticed that within the telling of the rumor, those seen purchasing a gem, were dressed in red hues....

Some may wonder if this blue clothed man, possibly the same individual recently known to be searching for, then questioning over, a shrine to Istishia, the elemental Water Lord, within, or not, the city of Baldur's Gate, is one and the same...and whether or not he is close to reaching his goal.

The, some others...may wonder what this man's goal actually is.

Holding an exquisitly crafted lute crafted by a famous instrument maker, rumor has it that the musician is actually playing good music.

Peccator wrote:... Despite her small frame, she hefts the sack with ease and follows her instructions into the sewers of Baldur's Gate to disperse the food among the homeless there; speaking words of Hope and Light to any who might listen and tending to the injuries and illnesses of the undercity community ...
A tonsured young human dressed in filthy brown woolen robes may have been recognised among the homeless by the Lathandrite priestess. He wears a red cord around his neck from which a holy symbol of Ilmater dangles.

The people here know him as Brother Sigma. He abides among the displaced sewer communities day and night, sleeping among them and breaking bread with them in fellowship. Sometimes, he teaches - occasionally he preaches - but primarily the wisdom of Ilmater is delivered in personal communion as encouragement, advice or rebuke as required.

He often wanders the tunnels seeking those who are isolated and shepherding them to gather and commune with the larger groups - this for their own security, for the tunnels are frequented by thieves and cut-throats, but also for more effective ministry toward them by those few concerned for their well-being.

This young Ilmateri seems primarily busied with the treatment of their health. He keeps persons quarantined as is needful and is diligent to restrict the spread of disease which is rife in these terrible environs. Most of his medicinal supplies thus far go toward the treatment of sores and infections - he surfaces only to replenish his supply, and this by the Temple of Ilmater in Baldur's Gate.
