Rather than use the Flaming Fist thread for Role-Play, this one will now be used.
The original thread in the Guilds section is used for OOC posts and announcements, but reports, etc., can go here.

Re: The Flaming Fist Role-Play Thread
A man walks in to the Flaming Fist HQ and leaves a letter addressed to the recruiting officer.
To The recruiting officer of the flaming fist,
I have an interesting in joining the flaming fist and would like to know more about the faction. I am quite skilled with my weapon and am looking to put it to good use. I am currently a fighter for higher and with work being slow, I have decided joining would bring in good income and experience. I shall drope by again in a few days to see if you are in and hopefully we can meet in person and come to an agreement

*Leaves a letter at the Flaming Fist HQ*
Honored officer of the lord's law.
I wish to report sightings of a madman who names himself "Cyrus the Allmighty"
This man has an increasingly strengthening grasp of arcane magic which he uses to preform necromancy on the tradeway.
He has been witnessed to create and bind the undead.
Yours sincerely

Re: The Flaming Fist Role-Play Thread
The burly Fist captain leaned back in his chair, with a contented sigh. It had taken two of Sembia's finest or so he was told, bottles of Zzar for Justin Crownsilver to drown his sorrows in a sea of sweet ambrosia.
As his head started to swim, his bloodshot eyes glanced down at his helm, currently serving paperweight duty on a stack of unread reports scattered about his desk.
"Gods above, what's this? He muttered somewhat inebiated as he blinked back tears and focused on a document from the Merchant's League. "Ah, yes, a request for an armed escort to Waterdeep. Thrice now they've sent this same request and twice I have refused. Let it never be said the League tis not relentless in their demands." Justin said too himself with a roar of druken laughter.
After recovering from his guffaw, Justin stroked his well manicured beard, and pondered on who to send. The Road Wardens were simply far too few to spare as mere glorified hire-swords.
Twasn't like the Fist needed the extra coin, and yet he still needed to send someone. Perhaps Sergeant Lasmus Heppenzeiler, twould prove to be a wise choice. For both he and Justin had nearly been half-slained by the fell, 'Shadow-Singer', and Lasmus had still not fully recovered from the ordeal. Twas best that he be sent away on this little protection detail. In the meantime, the Road Warden Captain shall take over Heppenzeiler's recruting duties, whilst the good sergeant was away.
With nothing more to drink, Captain Crownsilver had grown bored of pouring over old reports, and was in the mood for some entertainment. Now where--? Oh, yes, the recently captured ne'er-do-well, Keirran Naver hadn't been flogged in quite sometime.
"Stlarning misbegotten goat-whoring bastard," Justin growled, "Twice now you have felled me, I shall enjoy watching you beg and scream. For those who deal in pain are fated to entertain it in turn, His voiced trailed away as he exited his office, stamping off towards the dungeons.

*Kain approaches Justin as he is practicing his sworwork in the courtyard. Man has bandages on his head, arms and legs and his armor has been nearly turned into ribbons, he seems dead tired. *
Sir... I have completed your mission.
* he nods slightly towards a large bag he is carrying.*
Orc is dead... And there's some troubling news. There were four chieftains present in the caves sir.

Re: The Flaming Fist Role-Play Thread
*carefully written report*
Report on *Date*
To:Captain Crownsilver
Private Marsh, Kain
Subject: Assault against two officers of the law, civilian and impersonating as a Flaming Fist officer.
I was performing a standard patrol from Baldurs Gate to Beregost when i first met the agressor, near gnoll temple. I was informing him of possible dangers of the road when he told me of possible banite activity and claimed to have seen an elf in the company of undead. I began to question him of these news and he asked who i thought i was to interrogate high ranking Flaming Fist officer. He was not wearing armor of our company but to those less used to our presence he might have passed for one of our own. I made clear to him that he was committing very serious crime and demanded to know who he is. At this point he disappeared, escaped by magic perhaps.
Next time i confronted him i was with private Ialki. We stopped him on the road and demanded him to surrender his arms and came with us. He attacked. When i regained consciousness we were treated by adventurers who helped us back to the city.
Names of participants:
Civilian attacked: Darieius Huntington.
Dennis Green of the Cloakwood Company
Ujio
Kyle Archer
Bard that didn't mention his name.
Aulith, interested in possible reward for his help.
Description of the perpetrator:
Of medium height by human standards. Possibly human male. Wore gold hued suit of plate armor, long red cloak and helm with visor down. Facial features unknown. Carried greatsword.
((Edit. Forgotten name added and another removed.

Re: The Flaming Fist Role-Play Thread
This message is delivered to Duke Eltan at the Flaming Fist compound..
Most honorable Duke Eltan,
I'm interested in hiring a small group of your men for an expedition into the frozen reaches of the Cloudpeaks. I was exploring the mountain range and came upon a large force of Frost Giants. Battling my way through, with the aid of another, we reached the keep. Once inside the battle raged on. We must have felled 50 or more giants before reaching the throne room.. There we were met by the Frost Giant King. It seems that they had aquired a clutch of dragon eggs from a white known as Laximyrkcion. Knowing what had to be done, myself and my companion dispatched the King and his guards. Searching his body I found a strange glowing stone. Not knowing at the time what I had found I pocketed the gem and we made our way to the Vault they kept the eggs in. needless to say the eggs have been destroyed.. When we left the keep a Very large white flew overhead screaching loudly and flying further south.
Later that day one by the name of Tomar informed me that he too had seen the dragon and the more eggs remain. I wish to journey to Speartop and slay the foul beast and destroy her remaining eggs.
Please send word to me at the Blade and Stars. Let me know how many men you might be able to spare, and the amount of coin it will take...
Thank you for your time
With respect,
-Dallenthel Wyndsoul

*A reply is sent, though probably not by Eltan's hand*
Dallenthel Wyndsoul,
The city of Baldur's Gate does not wish the Flaming Fist to use forces inside the lands of Amn for diplomatic reasons. Thus it is not possible to accede to your request at this time.

*Hastily hand written note*
Dropped of at the garrison by a short red haired women, who leaves the note and quickly exits the premises.
Care of Kain Marsh,
Kain, i write this letter to relay to you my displeasure with you joining up with the Flaming Fist. The evening we shared in the tavern lead me to believe that you were someone i could have trusted, i confided in you that which i rarely share with anyone, but alas that is my own fault for confiding in someone i barely knew.
I will be looking out for you, dear deceiver of trust, and be warned the next time i reveal anything to you it will be at dagger point. Don't try and find me, i will be lingering in the shadows, always watching and when the moment is right i will come to you, and death will not be swift nor forgiving.

On one of his zombie-like preparation rituals Barvok goes through every early morning; which involves a mug of some form of caffeinated beverage and some practise swings with his greatsword was interrupted when he found a note that was slotted under the barracks door. Bending down to read it he looked at it quizzically and then thought of a case that made him a little flushed at the thought "Uh..." Immediately folding it up he just slotted it under the door where Kain Marsh's bedding was.

Kain was shaving his head, one of his every morning rituals, When a shout came from the door.
"OI! Marsh, ye got yerself a love letter!" Followed by loud laughter as was private Thedas' way.
Kains hand froze for a moment but he continued his shaving.
"And what this with a vile vixen of Waterdeep! Ha! Don't tell me ye put a bun in some working girls oven and shes now looking to put ye on daggerpoint!" Roaring laughter followed.
Kain washed his head, dried it and walked to Thedas. Quick jab to liver loosened his hold of the letter which Kain picked up and read quickly. He smiled slightly as he ripped the letter in pieces and threw it into fireplace.
"My very personal enemy, interesting"

*a letter arrives at Fist HQ for Captain Crownsilver, sealed with the Emblem of the Circle upon it*
Captain,
I have heard of your arrest of the Shadow Weave User, Red of Candle Keep. I congratulate you on the effort.
Such power does not belong on this Plane, nor in this part of the Realms. You have done those under your protection and the land a great service.
We of the Circle thank you. I will speak with my people and enquire if any of them will or could be wittnesses if he is to tried according to your Laws.
We would see justice done and the threat removed.
Many of our matters have crossed recently and Lord Eltan was present at our last Meeting at the Duchal Palace. I would meet with you when you are available to discuss matters and gain a knowing of one another.
If ever you need assistance in such matters as those above, please do not hesitate to contact me. We of the Circle have our own strengths, as does the Fist, and We can tread in places where you may not be able to.
Regards,
Galen'ael Glenstalker,
Ambassador to the City of Baldur's Gate,
Protector of the Circle of Druids.

Re: The Flaming Fist Role-Play Thread
Honorable Duke Eltan,
I write to you about a matter of concern. Last night an Avowed of Candlekeep was arrested by your men in The Flaming Fist. While I am concerned that no one at Candlekeep was informed or involved in this process in the slightest, it is not the reason I pen this letter to you.
One of your men, Captain Justin Crownsilver, burst into Candlekeep and detained the First Reader of Candlekeep, Tethoril, as well as many others by force inside of Candlekeep's own infirmary. I understand that your men are used to dealing with the most vile and twisted of those in your realm, but it is worrying to myself, as Gatewarden and empowered protector of Candlekeep, to hear of your men detaining and threatening our own with seemingly no cause. At Tethoril's request, all involved acquiesced and did not confront your men at that time. But we seek explanation.
We had no warning of the impending arrest, Captain Crownsilver produced no warrant, he mentioned no formal charge, and the Avowed in question was not even present in the infirmary. Captain Crownsilver issued orders under threat of violence inside our walls, to innocent men and women, so that he could scour our grounds by force of arms. A letter with a warrant for arrest might have perhaps been more diplomatic, or even just a warrant and request for assistance with the arrest. I look forward to greater elaboration on this matter so that we can avoid it happening again.
With Concern,
Isabella Villame
