Leveling with an Intelligence bonus grants extra languages

That would be a bug. . . an interesting and easily exploited one.

you sure you just didn't pick an extra INT point?

I picked an extra Int point on level 8, and was rewarded with another language, which I picked. Then, today, I picked up a +2 Int circlet. When I leveled again, to 10, while wearing that circlet, the language menu popped up, with an extra language offered.

thats a bug from a few updates ago, there is also one related to racial INT bonuses not counting, both will be taken care of tho hopefully

The extra languages is fixed, concerning duplicates, however now of the two characters I've checked.. I am missing 1 language from each based on the intelligence bonus.

i suppose i have the opposite success, got my missing language on one drow and the other still has multiples

Yes another character I checked (not RCR'ed) has multiple languages still.

I would rather have multiple languages than missing ones. lol

Well it is bit unrelated, but somehow I got six copies of arcane language which do take up spots... after the update I randomly got draconic. Weird.

So that is why my priest got 2 languages when only having a single language slot.

well there is a background feat that gives an extra language and it does actually work, but yea probably got it from a bug
