Galuril is borderline insane. But it's the insanity of a Batman villain; cunning and ruthless. He will aid those that help him, and will even strive to keep them alive. After all, a living ally is better than a dead one. He sees others as tools. Most can be useful, so keep them close and undamaged. Others can safely be ignored, since he doesn't need them and they are not used against him. And a few are actively used against him, and those ones should be broken as completely as possible.

He doesn't go into details on how he impressed Lolth when he was gated to her. He will say that they talked at length, but not give details of the pact he made with her. He is truly devoted to Lolth; she provided the power he craved, and so he will do Her work on this plane. He is not sure what Lolth has in store for him after he dies, but he is not eager to find out just yet. He's having fun here.

Background:
Originally hailing from a minor drow city, Galuril was unusual for a drow. Oh, he did the usual things a drow male is supposed to do; but during his adolescence, it became increasingly clear that he had a stunted sense of fear. Even when he was assigned to the yathrins of the Temple of Lloth to be beaten, he wasn't afraid. However, due to the beatings he received daily, his sense of anger and pride swelled to compensate. Even when threatened, he would do what he wanted-unless the threat was sufficiently severe, and he had reason to believe they'd follow through.

This, obviously, would not do. So, the clerics decided to let Lloth deal with him directly. The clerics cast a gate, and shoved young Galuril though. A few hours later, Galuril was seen walking out of the ritual chamber with a mad gleam in his eyes and eldrich energies crackling around his hands. Shortly afterwards, he carved the spider on his cheek himself.

In the years that followed, Galuril's fear slowly drained away, while he developed his warlock powers. A new trait started rising in him: blood lust. It's subtle, but it's there. He developed a taste for making his opponents bleed, and when they don't, he has been knows to open them up.

Having learned all he could in his 'rural village,' Galuril decided it was time for him to set out on his own. He's obviously heard of the wonders of Sshamath, and figured he could start his rise to power from there. Using the yathrin who once sought to banish him as a resource, he booked passage as a temple guard. Now, he knows not to get on the bad side of the folks running the city (he's not suicidal) but he does seek to increase his personal power.

Goals: Grow in power and become a legend. He doesn't care what type, as long as it's blood soaked.
