Hierophant - Advanced Divine Spell Power

Unread post by Thorsson »

Advanced Divine Spell Power
Specifics: Available only to hierophants with the feat Divine Spell Power, the feat now uses your full turning roll to complement casterlevel and progress DC's (You can go beyond +4). You no longer suffer negative effects from rolling poorly.
I'm not sure I understand this. Is it saying that it adds the result of a TU roll to your CL to determine things like spell lengths and DCs? If so, does that include bonuses, etc.?

PS there is a grocer's apostrophe in DC's in the description.

Currently the ONLY think Advanced Divine Spell Power is doing is taking away the possibility of a negative result, you are still capped at +4 CL. However, it effects everything, dispel protection, DC, duration, damage, etc...

There is an open discussion in QC as to bringing back the uncapped (or perhaps increasing the cap from +4 to some other number) increase. Basically you burn a TU use and you get the increased CL for (I believe) 10 rounds. So you can use it once and cast ~10 buffs at a potentially +4 (currently) CL, or you could use TU just before combat for debuffs / attack spells as a couple examples of the use.

Note that Divine Spell Power does the same thing, but if you roll low you have the potential for reducing your Caster Level.

Ah. I saw Spell Power as an Ability, but not Divine Spell Power. Is there both, or is Spell Power now DSP and a roll rather than CL+1?

- There is Spell power I II and III that increase the CL by1. Those are Hierophant only feats
- There is also a custom feat Divine Spell power. It basically increases ( or decrease your CL ) depending how you roll your TU check http://bgtscc.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=49036. This is a divine cleric feat for all clerics.

- Advanced divine spell power is a Hierophant only feat that has as a prereq Divine spell power and currently it removes the possibility for a negative result. It is discussed to remove the cap as well.
