Red Wizard is an application-only class. Blood magus is free to choose at any time.
There is no firm rule against the two being combined but we do often ask for a biography with Red Wizard applications and a brief lore check for consistency purposes.
Build-wise, however, they're not mutually exclusive.

Yes, as someone who plays a Red Wizard for about 4 months now, I do know that.
The question came up in the charchter building thread, for my necromancer, for who the PrC would be fitting RP wise. Happy that it works that way.

Not true. Vukodlak, who for eons was the DM who approved Red Wizards' applications, has said that Blood Magic is strictly banned among the Red Wizards. Has this changed?DM Narshe wrote:It's not banned.
