Disconnecting from Server.
Hey guys I'm having problem staying connected to the server for more than five minutes when I'm at my house, but I have no problem staying connected all day at my friends house the only other place I play. I also have the client extension anyone know what's going on and how I can fix it. Thanks in advance.

Are you receiving an error when you disconnect? Are you sharing a router with anyone?

I am not getting an error. I am sharing a router. And this is the only game that ever does it.

Could it be a firewall or anything interfering with your connection? I'm afraid I'm not a networking specialist; hopefully someone with more expertise in the subject can also chime in here?

What I get is "Server Response Timed Out". I tested it with other servers and other locations and I can stay in fine. It's like the server just can't find me or stay with me.

Have you downloaded all the custom content already? Sometimes the auto-downloader hangs up for people. If that's what's happening, you can download the largest files here:

If you've downloaded everything and you still can't connect, I'm less sure what to do.
Is the person you're sharing your router with also playing this game? If so, you might try what we suggest here:

Everything is downloaded and the person I'm sharing the router with does not play this game. When I'm at my friends house though there are anywhere between 3-5 of us on the game on the same router and I have no problems. So I'm pretty sure the server hates my house.

One thing you can try, if you have a dynamic IP address, is to disconnect your router over night (preferably for 12+ hours) and then plug it back in. I believe that should change your IP address. Alternatively you could ask your service provider to.
Then if you're being blocked by our firewall or something, that might clear things up?
Although at your friend's house, make sure you guys are properly configured. Otherwise you could unintentionally cause buggy behavior or server crashes while all sharing a router.

Re: Disconnecting from Server.
Update: I FINALLY had the house to myself for a long period of time and was able to unplug my router to reset my IP seems the game is working fine now, hope it stays that way. Thanks.

I'm glad, if a little surprised, it worked!
