There used to be mobs called goblin chiefs that ran around with huge greatswords killing everyone in the ruins. I think they were weapon masters as often as they crit.tfunke wrote:Do you mean the goblin worg riders? That was one of my favorite places to do 'drop in place' monster reinforcement. Nothing like changing it up a bit to through off the grind-game!Karond wrote:DM spawnsseawied wrote:There are currently no shamans spawning inside the ruins either, making this an incredibly easy area to clear outside of the bosses.

I think that was just the AI rolling 20s. They probably Raged; speaking of which, mobs can seem to get caught in a "Rage Loop" these days, forever 'casting', never attacking.finneas wrote:There used to be mobs called goblin chiefs that ran around with huge greatswords killing everyone in the ruins. The worg riders still spawn with the soothesayer.
The goblin chiefs held great swords, and were very scary to face at level 7 or 8, especially if there were two of them. I miss them. :'(

Chances are Luna would have gotten rid of them due to complaints if they were big hitters. I personally used to enjoy dropping into that dungeon when I played too, cause when you can't find a party, it was a good challenge to solo.

Speaking of Goblin Chiefs....
The chiefs in the Underdark no longer sneak up and hit you from stealth. When did that change happen? Now they summon a Shadow and give away their position. Also, "Sneak Attack" rarely pops up above their heads. They might as well not have HIPS or any kind of stealth.
