The server keeps asking if I want to be on surface/UD

Since the last update, server keeps asking some of my characters if I want to play on surface or in the UD (every time), and does not remember their last location. I suspect that it might go away after a level up, except that a level up will not be happening soon for those chars...

This only applies to characters that have been recreated recently.

Well, with certain races it is normal: all genasi and tieflings may play on the surface or UD. As they do have infravision.

Although not remembering the last location might have to do with the buggy implementation right now. Sometimes I get back to places I'm sure I already rested somewhere else in the meantime.

It is supposed to happen ONCE.

Now it happens every time I log on with those characters.

I also can't spawn at FAI because of this.

It's supposed to happen if you have 0 xp, so can be multiple times even if you did choose "up or down", but it sounds like you're experiencing it with characters that don't fit this description?

Yes, I rcrd two chars, and after RCR teleport NPC started asking them every time if they want to be in UD/surface. Been 3 times already. Every time I went down the world, travelled, rested couple of times, and earned some xp (even though it was a little).

Not sure if it'll keep happening. The most annoying thing is that there's no choice to spawn at FAI or in Roaringshore.

well what level are you? if i remember right you cant spawn FAI till 10 or 15 or something like that

Fai is level 10 (if not 6), and both characters qualify.

The reason why it isn't possible to spawn at FAI is because "Surface spawn" (i.e. "how did you arrive at sword coast" -> caravan, BG citizen, ship, I'm from frontier) dialogue doesn't have this option.

Either way, I'll see if the problem still persist this evening.

Fai is level 10 (if not 6), and both characters qualify.

FAI is 6 or 7 at most.

This just happened to me on my drow. Didn't feel like get slaughtered at the FAI...

Edit: Relogging fixed it for me.

This sounds like a script change issue? Maybe Rasael's hotfix will correct it, or already has?

Please let us know in here after the next reset whether you're still facing this issue.
