Hideous Blow and Dark Transient

Does hideous blow crit? If so what determines its critical strike chance? Thanks in advance. Trying to build a melee warlock of sorts and I'm trying to figure out the mechanics of it.

no never crits, you can crit on your attack the the blast damage wont change

When attacking with Hideows Blow enabled, first the weapon damage is dealt, which can crit. Then, the blast damage is applied, but it cannot crit. Last, if the blast has a secondary effect (like a save [e.g. Noxious Blast] or a secondary damamge [e.g. Vitriolic Blast]), it applies.

I built a melee "warlock" around this concept once. Used the blind from Beshadowed Blast with hideous blow to get sneak attacks.

I'd recommend going light on warlock levels though if you intend on making a melee one. Just high enough to get what you want invocation-wise.

Yes, it does. And Flee the Scene durations gets a x2.
