How to use creative fonts?
As I was reading biographies and journals I noticed people using alot of fancy fonts in their dialogue especially in some titles with fonts that look like elvish hand writing which I thought was really cool.

Pretty sure if you right click on these 'custom fonts' you'll actually discover they are imbedded images, created accordingly in a graphical arts program, uploaded to an image site and then linked to their location.
Since I'm only capable of the more limited end of that spectrum, I suggest you PM someone like Hidennika or TarnishedSoul (or wait for one of them to reply here!) because they both make extensive use of these and the fonts are really pretty!

More or less this. The type is placed over a similar gray-brown background, then exported as a transparent GIF or PNG file (using layers).Tsidkenu wrote:Pretty sure if you right click on these 'custom fonts' you'll actually discover they are imbedded images, created accordingly in a graphical arts program, uploaded to an image site and then linked to their location.

UTF Misc Symbols
The fonts tend to be web safe fonts, unless an image as others stated.

Thanks for the compliment, Tsidkenu!
As explained by others, the 'fonts' that show in my PC's biography are actually embedded images of fonts. I picked a style that I thought fit my concept, and I manipulated it in Adobe Photoshop. I recommend trying their Creative Cloud system - it's an easy, affordable way for folks to use a legitimate, always up-to-date version of Photoshop! There are other programs that should do the trick, though, such as GIMP. I can only speak to Photoshop, however, as that is what I use for all my game-related things.
I'd be more than happy to explain the steps involved if anyone wants to learn. Just PM me!
