Drugs include alcohol in my view of the world. Pipeweed could be equated to tobacco if that was really an issue. LotR was a pg-13 movie... and I still don't see the problem with it in particular. But whatever. I've seen all these rules bent or broken in consensual role play to where I personally don't think it matters much. This is the internet folks.

Actually, if anyone does research, Pipeweed as discribed in LoTR novels, is not like marijauana nor does it get you stoned, in fact it states in the novels that:
There is another astonishing thing about Hobbits of old that must be mentioned, an astonishing habit: they imbibed or inhaled, through pipes of clay or wood, the smoke of the burning leaves of a herb, which they called pipe-weed or leaf, a variety probably of Nicotiana.
Nicotiana: an ornamental plant related to tobacco, with tubular flowers that are particularly fragrant at night.
It does not have drug like affects.
Anyone rp'ing 'pipeweed' as it is in LoTR as getting them high is actually confusing or warping the lore of it.

Anyone else find it ironically amusing that the most fervent rp supremacists are arguing (AGAINST) allowing and creating more rp? I guess some are not as fervent for rp as they would like us to believe.

While I don't support limitations like this in a general sense (Although I have expressed my some of my opinion on this particular topic above), I don't think this is a fair accusation. They (The "RP Supremacists") generally argue for higher quality RP within the scope of RP that is already allowed.
Quality over quantity is a fair and valid point of view, even if you hold the stance that you can increase quantity AND quality, as I do.

Gonna suggest it again : Top remains pg 13, bottom becomes pg 18. You consent for the change in PG when you cross that middle ground, the netherese ruins. Would fit well for this server that tries to please as many people as possible.
As far as I go.. Either player side or DM side if someone starts RPing blood guts and gore in disturbing detail I am just going to log out.. If the server allows it it allows it.. Making the server PG 13 is far easier than saying it is PG 18 and then trying to micromanage every nuanced ruling as to what is too much.
I try to remain light hearted and joking, fun and in a youthful sort of way.... I can see that quickly getting ruined by allowing the server to "mature".. though I don't see needing sex and graphic gore and obscenities in a game as being a "mature" mentality in the first place..
