Yeah first half was really bad by the swiss. Always focused on the ball not the strikers.

As against Ukraine in 2006. Only not as bad as then. All in all Switzerland did more to win the game. What a shame!

I must say...any team wearing neon pink goalie outfit should just win outright!

Okay, let's review...:
There's this game, you see, where 22 players run around trying to kick a ball...INTO THE BLEEPIN' NET!!!

I expect Italy vs Spain to be the same slugfest as Croatia against Portugal. Too bad the better team is out now.

Ah, too bad, Griezmann has made the tie. Well, still there is hope. But I so was wishing for the biggest suprise of the tournament. Go Eire go!

Re: Euro 2016
What a change to yesterday's snooz fest. Three games with real shots on the goal. Too bad we will see at least one more zzzz match tomorrow.
Belgium is very strong countering. And yes Germany is back on tournament mode.

Re: Euro 2016
Hey, Ireland played a great half again.
Trouble is, as always, they lack the depth and youth to maintain for an entire match against larger nations, with larger talent pools. France especially, a large nation with a larger warchest to spend and utilizing not only their native born population but also supplementing players born within their satellite nations (players whom would not be making a fraction playing for their native born nations) will always have the upper hand against nations like Ireland/Wales/Iceland/Greece.
That being said, France deserved to win. Their talent was readily apparent and as the game went on, it seemed inevitable. There was still one call that really irked me, and that was the shot on goal that was deflected by a French defensemen. Instead of it appropriately being ruled a corner kick for Ireland with the game tied 1-1, it became France ball and with their increasing pace, not long after (within minutes) became 2-1 France.
Le Bleu is good, hat's off to them. I just hope when they play a more evenly matched Germany, Spain, or other team, they don't start getting more "home cooking" calls.

Re: Euro 2016
I love the names of the belgian team.
"Romelu Lukaku", "Eden Hazard", "Jean-François Gillet", "Toby Alderweireld", "Jan Vertonghen", "Thomas Vermaelen" and last but not least my favorite "Axel Witsel"
For such names they really deserve the title.
2:0 It seems Belgium made it
I am looking forward for more great matches.

Yay, the empire is going down. What a recital of team effort Italy is. They were the ones who run the most too, in the group phase.
And it went exactly like before spain won something. Spain pushing but Italy finishing the match.
Go Iceland go! What a start!

So let's imagine the fun drama of Iceland and Portugal making it to the Final...and Long Neck eating his words!!!
