And considering it is a Svirfneblin, he will surely embody the "sullen" nature, be a shining example of "sour company," exemplifying the "quiet suffering" and "pessimism" known of his kind, reflected in his cha-cha-cha-risma.
Party gnome #1. Not.
The build is fine. But I'm thinking you'd rather want Expose Weakness than 2d6 Eldritch Blast. Especially if you're going to use Hideous Blow (melee). I wonder...it might be that the auto-hit of EW will pop the Hideous Blow dmg?!!

I've search the forums for the different daggerspell mage topics and came up with this one. Any thoughts? It's pretty feat starved so I had to choose wisely (or not lol). I took two non epic feats in the epic levels though, unfortunately. I like Dark Transient but not sure if something is better? I like the Diplomacy skill, wish I could add more :/
Just looking for a little different twist on the "traditional" Daggerlock.
Edit: Does the build have 14d6 blast or 16d6 blast? I don't think the blasts from Practiced Invoker show up? Nor does it count towards Eldritch Master. And I don't think the AC from unfettered defense appears in the builder either.
An interesting and different build. The problem is, as you said, that is feat-starved because of the IB class, that requires to take both Combat Expertise and Feint.
I think it would work much better with a race that had an extra feat, so you can have some room. Mechanically speaking, some other classes (rogue or Bodyguard for example) work better to qualify for DsM. In this case you would have room in epics for Expose Weakness, for example.
But, if you go svirf and IB, some changes I would make:
- As you take Feint, I would go for full Bluff, so you can take advantage of the feat.
- I personally (not mandatory) would start with 18 dex and use those extra points in str, swapping one Epic Eldritch Blast for a Great Dexterity. You lose 2.5 damage from the blast dice each round but have +1 with each hit, and the most sure is that at least two hits will land each round, so it's not a great loss. And carrying more stuff is always nice.
- Another option is to swap both Epic Eldritch Blasts for Epic Prowess + Expose Weakness.
Thanks Kender, great info and points. Im thinking of going into a different class combo like what your recommended

With a starting -4, dont think youll find too many svirf Adonis' running around. Lol mechanically speaking of course. He could just be physically ugly yet have a stellar personality or vice versa. Its rather limiting i agree but RPing a debbie downer in an already dismal setting isn't all that fun in my eyes.

You are welcome! Just choose whichever build fits your char idea, RP and bacground and you won't regret it.
And, as a side note, remembder the fahliels (=warlock in drow) can join the School of Invocation and Evocation. We have few movement there nowadays...
Myrualae - Chantress of Doron Amar Snow - Sorcery and carrots! Gomez de Aguirre - The Fabulous Knight of the Mystic Fire Uelaereene Sai'zzel - Once I saw the stars... Lilly Sai'zzel - Stormy snowflake And more...
My point is that low charisma = little personal magnetism, regardless of looks. They may be great people, but no-one is going to follow them.
Ah, yes I did. My apologies. So with this talk of low cha it made me wonder just how much it would affect my IC goals. Decided to go with a different approach for my svirf. Thank you everyone!
