Müller sometimes seems to be more italian than the opponent tonight LOL.

Edit: Penalties coming. Germany only lost once in those 6/1 I think. Italy 50%. 4/4 or something like that.

Wow I think Vendor had a heart attack with this shooting lol.

Congratz to the germans though.

Guess you can't beat Germany at penalties. It's one of their things :)

Well if it is their time, then they are very lucky, cause they aren't by far the better team. What Germany showed in the first half is high quality. France was almost dead in the water.
The only thing saving them is Schweinsteiger and the German strikers. I don't know what is happening with the arms and Germans lately.
First Boateng and his "arms up this is a robbery scene" against Italy, leading to a penalty. And now Schweini! His hands was more intentional but absolutely unnecessary too. Sigh.

If Germany keeps at it like in the first half and France just waits for a counter, and playing so slowly that even the oldest defense would get back before them, then there should be still time to tie or even win the match. Die Mannschaft should win by how the first half evolved. But if France is able to make the second goal then I'd say it's over.

And then two teams which didn't show the best football in the tournament, Portugal and France, will play each other. It wouldn't be the fist time.

Seems like its France's turn. I don't feel its fully deserved, Germany seems to play better. I don't know why an Italian is refereeing this game, the country Germany just forced to exit the tournament. A cheap penalty past the alloted overtime, and the game was more or less decided there. An Italian would cry out with corruption charges considering the action in France's penalty area before :P

Can't see Portugal beating France in the final. I guess it was a good move to get the tournament back to France once more, suspicious as it was. 8-)

Hm, yeah but in the second half Germany was pulled down onto the level of France. And you have to know how to win ugly too. And this time France has had a bit of luck and then in the second half they were just cleverer.

The penalty wasn't stolen, it was a clear hand from Schweini.

Rizzoli is one of the best referees in the world. He isn't a Kassai.

It is like this, if you don't make the goal with all the clear occasions Germany had, it's only logical that they lost.

Amen. And he is very profesional, in my opinion the second best ref currently, with Clattenburg taking the slightl lead. In honesty it was really good work on his part to spot the penalty.

The header (Payet I think? or Matuidi, cant remember) was trying to pass the cross into the backpost area when Bastian handballed to stop its path, it was hard to spot in real time though. But clear penalty on replay, he lost his marking and apparently his brain too in that situation.

And yeah it was "undeserved" if you look at the hard facts of possesion, passes, chances etc. but that is the type of football germany plays, France is a far better counter attacking team and they knew what their plan was with Griezmann up front. Not saying they looked comfortable being pressured so intensely, but its a part of the game you know.

I hope they win and Pogba join United (again) And im glad we are not having a reoccuring domination theme like with spain a couple of years ago, Germany are an amazing team and usually entertaining to watch but it's good with some variety and competition. They do also look like a shadow of themselves from the world cup, besides Kroos and Boateng just being otherworldly.

 It was a very close game and Germany has been in charge. But France was more clever and took there chances that did result from bad faults made by Schweinsteiger, Neuer and Kimmich.
In the first halftime I had the feeling that France wouldn't shoot a goal against Neuer, but Germany helped them a lot and missed their own chances.

Now I hope that Ronaldo and Portugal will stop them. :D

This is unacceptable. I'll lose the big bets made at work. I had Germany-Müller. Now what am I going to do? :(

At least German press agrees with me

Take the loss like a champ.

Hm, I wouldn't call Express or Bild exactly german press. :D

Especially this:
Rizzoli hatte auf jeden Fall nicht seinen besten Abend. Nebenbei sah er auch noch bescheuert aus, trug zu seiner schwarzen Kleidung Stutzen in babyblau.
If media discredits somebody only because of the socks he was wearing... It's just lowbrow.

Ok. I didn't expect much from both teams. But this poor football show is just undeserving of a finale. The best part of it was when Ronaldo left the field. That was drama at least. And I can't stand that guy.
I know privately he is probably a good chap, and he is compassionate and generous etc. etc.

For me Germany vs. Italy was the best game so far. And Germany is for me the deserving champion. Even if they were eliminated thanks to bad luck and very poor use of the chances.

What a deception France and Portugal are! Neither deserves to be called Champion of the Euros for the next 4 years. But then again, they wouldn't be the first to not deserve the crown...
