14th level Whirlind rage barbarian with light armor

HI, I have a 17th level barbarian, I ware light armor, and use whirwind rage. but its supposed to show evade when needed. My running around the naskel giats throwing stone I did not see any attempts to evade.

were you in your rage at the time? As far as I know you only get the effects of evasion while in said rage
