Peccator wrote:"They should go to their Gods," Alesea murmurs as her gaze fixes attentively on the child. "But sometimes, there is...unfinished work to do; in the name of vengeance and service to a God - good or bad. Sometimes things like...ghosts...are brought back to our realm wrongly by dark magic." Alesea goes quiet for another space of thoughtful time. "I would imagine they are restless and angry if they are prevented from going to their Gods. Maybe, in some cases, it's that they're angry on their God's behalf. But I don't like that they come to you, either." She states softly, with compassion reflecting in the green of her eyes. "Does it frighten you?"
DM Arrakeen wrote:"They give me nightmares. I see bad things then," Amanda shrugs not saying more.
Peccator wrote:"Lathander is the Commander of Creativity," her tone warms, though loses none of its compassion for Amanda. "I think He inspires us in many ways - by sending us thoughts like we Hopefully ask of him in our prayers," her finger taps the page. "And by showing us a new Morn without fail on a daily basis. By showing us the cycle of life in the budding of a new flower, or the birth of a new person, or the green leaves coming out on the trees again in spring. These things never stop, do they? So we see His creative hand at work and draw warmth and Hope and rosiness from this, too. His will is for such things to spread."
DM Arrakeen wrote:"So he is a god of sun, creativity, new babies, and hope? I thought only gods of Arts are busy with these things, like the ones we saw statues of in the theatre," Amanda nods slowly scanning the page in the book once more before she turns it.

Peccator wrote: Alesea lets Amanda's initial reaction sink in for a moment, considering. She responds in continued gentleness, a moment later, though, one hand going lightly to the pages of the book and flipping through to a point further on. "Lathander is a God of life," she states. Her tone reflects the devoted gladness of a faithful woman given such opportunity to speak of her Lord at length. "The joy and the beauty and the vigor that life provides. Hope that we can rest assured in, because life goes on and on." Her smile ignites softly. "In a way, Lathander is a god of the arts like those of the theatre. He smiles on creative works - songs, poems, drawings..."
DM Arrakeen wrote:Amanda nods in understanding.

Peccator wrote:The Dawnpriest stops search within the tome upon finding a certain heading. She directs her focus to Amanda. "These here are prayers meant for the night time," she murmurs. "For just before you go to sleep. I could pray them with you, or you could pray them yourself...to ward off the nightmares. Perhaps if you ask Lathander for His help, he will grant it." Her finger taps the first one upon the the page, illuminated all around with decorative peacock feathers painstakingly inked.

"And do you wear the holy symbol I gave you at night?"

DM Arrakeen wrote:Amanda nods. "Yes, priestess," the girl smiles shyly, it is a fleeting expression but a noticeable one.

Amanda looks around for a moment then back at Dawpriestess.
"I should go now. I have to check on Silvyr. Can I keep the book?"

A few days ago, Ameris and Telia Santraeger were visiting the Song of the Morning to see Amanda. They shared juice and honeycakes from the Ilmateri Temple and spoke for some time. When Amanda left to rest, the couple emerged and appeared to look quite troubled about something.

Ameris and Telia Santraeger enter Beregost from the south. They visit the Song of Morning temple and speaks to the Most Radiant, Dawnpriest Alesea and the Knight Commander Eldarian regarding the child currently staying in the temple, Amanda. The couple then spend some time with Amanda alone, speaking of an important matter. After this, Amanda packs her things in a neat, and organised fashion, no doubt including such gifts and keepsakes as she had received while within the temple.

With a warm farewell from the clergy and templars of the Song of Morning Temple, Ameris, Telia and Amanda depart. Amanda stands between the couple holding her bag in one hand while the other rubs nervously the red cord around her neck. After them trots a ginger tomcat, whose stomach seems to have grown thanks to Beregost's fertility. Amanda, herself, shows little emotion, although she offers small smiles to the clergy of Lathander and thanks them politely for their hospitality.

Upon leaving the temple, Ameris would ask Amanda something, to which the little girl nods firmly. Following this, the trio (plus cat) would head to the outskirts of the town and, after an arcane incantation from the sorceress, teleport away in a flash of blue light.

After speaking with the two templar outside of the temple, a tall man clad in iron plate armour, enters inside. Not awhile, he leaves the building, going to the direction of Feldepost's Inn. Anyone who enters the temple will see a message left on the altar.

The message reads:
Hidden: show
Dear brothers and sisters,

Hope my letter finds you well. I am a fellow Lathanderite paladin from Daggerford, currently on my pilgrimage to major Lathanderite centres on the Sword Coast. I heard the reputation of your ever since I set my foot on the Gate. Therefore I travelled all the way to come and visit my fellow brothers and sister. And I would like to provide services for the church as part of my pilgrimage and training. However, I found no one at the church, and so I left a message. I will be glad to see and meet my fellow brothers and sisters. I am staying at the inn across the market.

Communing with the Morninglord

A redhaired woman had been seen entering the temple from time to time to worship for a bit and then leave again.

In the 9th hour of Eleasis 3, 1352 - she is seen entering again. She usually arrives with a cheerful, but prayerful disposition - yet this time seems to be in deep in thought at with a sense of determination.

"Lathander, i pray to you for the cause of a young woman called Ssinyrr. I beg you hear my pleadings and help me find the answers to my questions."

*She steps down and walks toward the altar, standing there for a moments of silence. Where following she proceeds with initiating a communion*

*She was seen leaving in a very quiet manner afterwards*

A new song can be heard resounding throughout Beregost, usually originating over a round of drinks at the Risen Phoenix. The song's source remains largely unknown, but rumor largely agrees on one point; "Commander Love" is strongly believed to be Eldarian himself...

The klaxon sounds, the undead march,
who will stand and face this foe?
There on the walls, manning the fort,
stand Lathander's Lamps, HO!

They are led by a man, stalwart and wise,
known by all as "Commander Love."
Untroubled is he by the chaos of battle,
the turmoil he rises above.

The klaxon sounds, the undead march,
who will stand and face this foe?
There on the walls, manning the fort,
stand Lathander's Lamps, HO!

Second in charge, and a tactical genius,
the dashing knight, "Golden Blade."
He wades into battle, a song on his lips,
by fear and villainy he is not swayed.

The klaxon sounds, the undead march,
who will stand and face this foe?
There on the walls, manning the fort,
stand Lathander's Lamps, HO!

Third in the number, and the commander's companion,
is the lovely "Lady Luxury."
Her blade cuts true, and the bond she has with the Commander,
some say is more than brotherly.

The klaxon sounds, the undead march,
who will stand and face this foe?
There on the walls, manning the fort,
stand Lathander's Lamps, HO!

Let us not forget, their companion true,
a dapper man known as "Blonde Beard."
Legends say "Never! No not even once!",
has his face ever been sheared.

The klaxon sounds, the undead march,
who will stand and face this foe?
There on the walls, manning the fort,
stand Lathander's Lamps, HO!

Last, but not least, a man of mystery.
He goes by the name "Terror Turban."
They say he's so skilled, he slays foes left and right,
all while sipping his bourbon.

The klaxon sounds, the undead march,
who will stand and face this foe?
There on the walls, manning the fort,
stand Lathander's Lamps, HO!

A missive arrived for the Song of the Morning Temple. The scroll bore a red wax seal with the sigil of Doron Amar.

As a rosy streak of dawn finally passed over the horizon and the sun offered a gentle gleam over Beregost, numerous templar and knights within the Song of the Morning were seen working tirelessly to load crates, chests, numerous personal trinkets and small furniture into fortified caravans that seem intent on making a long journey elsewhere. Guards with brilliantly luminous red and yellow cloaks stand near them, some on foot and others riding strong and capable beasts.

Creative paintings with a personal touch are lifted from the walls of the Knight-Commander’s quarters, leaving the room naked and a sore reminder of what was. Shelves that had once held gifted creative writings and numerous holy tomes were left as a skeleton, only specks of dust able to afford signs of life where there once had been.

Eldarian stood without ceremony in the emptiness of the Knight-Commander’s quarters. The only sound the paladin heard was the beating of his heart within his ears. His golden-flecked eyes trickled over the room slowly; all the memories of what had happened within rushed into the forefront of his mind. His brow crinkled softly upon his forehead as they flashed through his mind’s eye, one by one, the bitterness of it all cresting like a giant wave upon him so heavily in that moment.

He took a broken breath and turned on his heels to tread to the empty doorway. Gloved fingers affixed on the handle and he half began to turn away from the room to shut the door. A gentle gleam caught his eye from the nearby window before he could fully remove himself. His look flickered toward it and some of the bitterness swiftly lifted from him. The note he had left upon the desk, written in his own hand and wrapped and stamped carefully with his own signature, caught the rays of the sun in hues of rich yellow and orange.

The door closed in gentle silence.

From death, life.

Eldarian was Knight-Commander no more.

A woman in golden armor with a clearly visible symbol of Sune etched into her breastplate stepped into the Song of the Morning, carefully holding a sack which contained something round. Quiet words were exchanged with available clergy. The woman would be known as Adelaide van de Saer, a paladin of Sune, but she makes it clear that she doesn't want the so called Inquisition privy to anything she has said.

In fact, she makes her disapproval of the Inquisition heard and openly speaks in the temple of how their leader, Ildar Drakebiter, was defending a woman who summoned undead. Ildar had claimed it to be illusion and a manifestation of inner pain, angering when the undead was destroyed, when a mage was present and could confirm there was no illusion. Adelaide doesn't threaten but gives a warning of that she will not tolerate the acceptance of undead and unless the temple can control their servants, she will not shy away from keeping Lathander's name away from disgrace herself.

Only the clergy and divine servants would be privy to the following:
Hidden: show
Carried in Adelaide's sack is the head of a Sembian man only known as Olaf. He was a deserter of Grand Duke Xandar De'Cardi and hunted by a golem, his head found on the golem after it had been defeated. Adelaide speaks of Olaf having seen the light and tried to escape darkness but was caught up. She carefully warns that there are others who seek escape too. Payment is left to cover the necessary rites over the remains. She speaks of Grand Duke De'Cardi as being a wicked man, who summons devils and hunts down his own men when they try to stand up for what is right. It is obvious that Adelaide herself is Sembian.
After words are exchanged, Adelaide prays by the altar.

Adelaide stands vigil from late evening to dawn. A radiant smile is on her lips as the first rays of the sun shine into the temple. She joins the clergy, paladins and regular attendants in the morning prayers and hymns.

She does not let the lack of sleep show, and is cheerful while she breaks the night-long fast with breakfast. Soon after, she leaves the temple to travel.

After speaking with Most Radiant Ormlyr, the Guide of Candlekeep spends several candle-marks sitting in one of the back pews writing within a well-worn leather notebook. She occasionally pauses her work to listen to the priest as he offers counsel to other visitors.

A brief note is left:
Dear Eldarian,

A mutual friend asked me to check on your well-being. I will be around Beregost for the next day or two. I will check in a couple more times to see if you are available or if you have left any response.

May you follow the Way to a peaceful place.

A known knight with a golden cloak and particular armor can be seen hovering about the Song of the Morning temple for the past tenday. He engages in talk with the elder priest most often, seemingly anxious and impatient as he paces back and forth. Other times he is seen either in a meeting with a guest of the temple or hidden away in the depths of the holy structure.

One thing is for certain. Something is on the horizon.
