Re: The Real Adventure Party #2
What lvls are you all? And what time do you play in GMT?
I have an elven bard around lvl 14 that would be fun to have in a group since travelling alone can be a bit risky for her.

Re: The Real Adventure Party #2
// How do we feel about selling the gems and gear that we have received from adventuring? So far I have amassed a few diamonds (as have we all from the dragon that ate Gonn).
If we sell this stuff, can we sell to players? So far the most a vendor will pay for a diamond (to use that as an example) that I've found is 1,350. If we sell to players, I've seen a thread where a player sold one for 4,500. If I sell the diamonds I can afford a better belt, or boots or *a ring with stats* for my naked finger.
So far I've passed all useful items that I can't use to those who can use them. Instruments went to Gonn, for instance.
In the spirit of the group I've only bought items from vendors. That I would continue to do as I believe we vowed to avoid the auction house. How do we feel about selling to players, though?
Also, where can we get more invis potions? I used them all this time.

Re: The Real Adventure Party #2
/// i have given my diamonds to maddy to sell. i also told her that i have many more and minimum sell rate is 4k. i also used another diamond to purchase 10 greater invis pots(385gp from maddy). that leaves me with one left that i intend to hold onto as they are used for RP need. the invis pots i will give out our next meeting.
i have never had a problem with face to face IG purchasing or selling of items. is that is just me? if we didnt, then what good would money be and skills like appraise intimidate bluff and diplomacy. clever use of these skills and quality(or pathetic) dice rolls are very much a part of the game. and i frown on players that refuse to comply to these skills when used properly.
anyway.. was real happy with that adventure. that castle is difficult from what i hear. i have not seen a group of less than level 15 minimum even try it. in fact i know quite a few high 20's that use it for duo loot run. i purposely avoided it as a place to go with my other toons so i could enjoy fully the challenges and unexpected twists. thats a real testament to our ability as a team.
look forward to our next adventure. we could try the castle again since we haven't "completed" it yet. or i can see if a DM is available for something campaign related. that would be fun to be, even if it is just a small part, part of the big story.

Re: The Real Adventure Party #2
//i sometimes farm s**t with Jessie and sell the items for cheap on the auction in order to do my part in helping noobs/break the economy further so I understand if we don't use the auction. Don't care over much. Joules likes buying magic things from vendors so he is regularly broke. Gotta sell these diamonds somehow lol.

Re: The Real Adventure Party #2
// I think the idea behind not using the AH is that if we have a huge influx of gold from our alts we would get gear that we otherwise would be unable to acquire.
Right now our limiter is gold. Holly is dead broke save the diamonds she has. I'll sell the diamonds and try to get some better gear from a merchant (and heal potions and a couple of res scrolls) to further our cause.
