Appearance :
At first glance this towering and rather muscled man looks someone who if aggravated can become a real menace to one’s health. In the presence of strangers, this black-haired man seems often uncommunicative, and his apparent grumpiness may strike as chronic. It felt like no prescription existed for this. Perhaps he didn’t choose anger and instead anger chose him?
Regardless, whenever encountering him in such a state he feels unapproachable, or radiates that “don’t mess with me” attitude. Something that would be obvious in all of his facial reactions. On other occasions he can also show a quiet inner strength through the confidence he is radiating, and if he wouldn’t be so unpretentious, he may be mistaken for an alpha male.
Whenever witnessing him in combat this large man appears to be a rather formidable fighter, partially due his physique concealed by his gray black outfit, partially due the powers granted by the deity he seems to serve. Truly worthy of a “Roar”. Not that he really looks like the worshipping type, rather the undertaking sort. Though he appears not averse to killing, he only seems to do so when necessary. Bruises and bumps aside.
Despite his rather intimidating appearance, his demeanor going from cynical to sarcastic to openly scoffing at people when seriously irritated, he seems not that easily angered. He’s no powder keg, but oh boy if he explodes...
Back in the days, when in the presence of his Cici, aka Cecilia Lovelle, his sentences did become lengthier and his loquacity increased. Grey will never become the clown of the room, but he was able to smile and in the presence of Cici he never hid from handling a joke or a tease, and even returned the favor once in a while. Again, in his own typical way.
Grey rarely takes off his hood, but when he does the observer can perceive a pair of slightly different colored eyes. The left one may remind of the depths of a sapphire blue ocean whilst the right seems more like the aquamarine of a tropical lagoon. His jawline is strong and rather sharp, and that along with the tenday beard, moustache and slightly longer facial hair on his chin may make him look somewhat attractive but above all steely.
Color seems to be the great absentee in his outfit and gear, and even though he sometimes switches, he seems to be the man who invented fifty shades of gray and black.

Plot :
After another long time of absence, Grey returns to the Coast and he looks even more surly than on one of his 'normal' days. If any would even recognize him. Anyone who may (dare!) openly wonder about this towering male’s appearance... may learn that the girl who was regarded as his steady mate for life had come to pass years ago. His Cici has fallen into a deep chasm and Grey spent months trying to recover her body, to no avail.
Should he ever talk about it, his eyes would move to a point somewhere far in the distance without finishing that story. This impressive man's eyes would then flicker and he would grow all silent, as if recalling a scream that could be heard miles away.
Greagoire Forde was born into a family of which the members pledged their lives to wash away evil and negative entities from the streets and ruins of Myth Drannor. Both his father Damien, his older brother Galian as well as himself were all three once Knights of the Shadow Sword. Once.
Unfortunately his older brother involved himself in evil practices and rituals that were intended to help him grow more power to gain control over the area. When their father learned, he tried to stop his oldest son, but practicing deeds of wickedness led to wickedness itself. And thus Greagoire’s older brother, who had acquired supernatural abilities with the powers of necromancy, and who also had learned how to tap into the power of shadow magic, slew their father in the fight that occured between them. Then… Galian raised his father as a powerful Undead.
When the other Knights learned about the acts and the condition of the two, things got out of hand. Apparently his brother and father had taken his sister with them, but before he was able to track her down and return her to safety, Greagoire found himself arrested and imprisoned under suspicion of being a tainted man imbued with malevolent energies. Greagoire however escaped, and in a response to their accusations he went to look for those he once called family.
Greagoire was forced to battle both his father and brother, and in one final encounter with his father later on, his father was knocked out by a magical bolt in the head. The thing was fired from the crossbow of a girl named Cecilia Lovelle (who for a while has been Grey's mate before dying). After, Greagoire quickly burned the body of his father. Later on Greagoire returned to Myth Drannor with the tiny bits of proof he had obtained. This time he wasn’t imprisoned but they did strip him of his knighthood, and he became a Rider of the West Wind. His task was simple. As a mercenary dedicated to Shaundakul he would help travellers and adventurers through (distant) lands. Meanwhile he was allowed to continue his search for his brother and sister, but he could never return to Myth permanently.
Greagoire has reason to believe they are in West-Faerun and won’t go away until he turned over every single rock in the region. One day he hopes to return to Myth Drannor with proof of their death/destruction, and at least clear his name in the records.

Meanwhile Greagoire converted to Akadi, something that happened a few years ago. But that doesn’t change much on what he does. At least as far as his daily routine goes…
During his early years in Baldur’s region he sometimes assisted travelers and adventurers on dangerous roads, acting as their armed escort. He rarely asked anything in return but did accept donations, funds he passed on for the fortifications of an ancient Myth Drannan temple that formed a base of operations. With said funds he also supported a group of Lathandrians, so-called Speakers of the Dawn who were building a temple of their own within Myth Drannor’s ruins. All this to counter followers of Bane who were spreading rumors about the great riches from within the city.
Nowadays he’d still guide people as their roads take him all across the land, which helps with his search. During hostile encounters, as a follower of Akadi he is a turbulent tempest rather than a sophisticated breeze that would attempt to change his adversary’s minds. Like such moments are the perfect outlet. However, as far as Myth Drannor goes, Grey doesn't do anything of the above anymore. Where attention goes, energy flows, and for Grey that is his brother and sister. But there seems no balance in it.
If his aim could ever shift, he would in time make a perfect Knight of the Wind's Four Quarters.
Again though, it may seem hard to figure out this man on day one, in case one would wonder about him. After all, just by his general appearance most feel warned not to tackle him about it. At least not without 'precautions'. It feels unsafe to approach this big man especially during one of his bad days...
