Friendly Arm Inn - Dhavel - Treasure of the Orc King

[Steve]

A man clothed in a sea-blue and sturdy weave tunic, makes his way from the Wood of the Sharp Teeth, slowly.

Though he appears not troubled in his slowed movement, he is dragging with some effort two items of largeness. His will seems to be far stronger than his arms, as these items dig into the ground with their weight, for they seem large-sized, once or possibly future worn by a creature of great girth.

What is dragged behind him, and cutting tracks or trails into the earth as his pace quickens as he eyes the walls of the Friendly Arm Inn, appears to the killed eye to be a greatsword of peculiarity, and with it, a greater than man-sized armor, of full plate.

With the guards eyeing him as he crosses the drawbridge, the man in sea-blue cloth enters the courtyard, and at first appears to be heading in the direction of the well known Henry Mudd. However, he continues pass the stall, ignoring any eyes that fall upon him as he does so.

When the man in sea-blue cloth reaches the brick walls of the Inn proper, he somewhat lunges forward in order to swing the items of great weight against the brick base, so that they manage to lean themselves up upon it—somewhat naturally displaying their known or unknown qualities, to the eyes of those skilled enough or sensitive enough to the empowered enhancements within each piece.

Some nearby would hear a convincing sigh of relieve come from the lips of the man. Followed by the statement: "The Orc King was wrongly in possession of such things...."

The man in the sea-blue cloth then sits down upon the ground, in front of these wares, and waits.

Should any inquire to him of these things, he would always initially say: " I am just a wayfarer riding the edge of the sea and the land...and if you wish to show honor to the Water Lord, you may offer me an amount of coin, or a deal in trade."

After some time, the self-described Wayfarer gets up from his prone position and takes a walk around the base wall of Inn proper, toward, it seems, the direction of the back, where the out houses are available—nature must be calling, it would appear.

The items are left there, leaning against the brick, unattended, one may observe.

A female steps up before the items observing them in thought from behind her mask as she cants her head. Once the merchant were to return she would gesture to both items.

"What is your price? I have a few items of my own I may be able to trade in conjunction."

[Steve]

The unknown wayfarer returns—turning the corner to find the sword and armor looked over by another. Everything seems in order to him, as he approaches the...masked...female.

As she speaks to him, his eyes dart from her—and especially the mask—to the many guards patrolling the courtyard. A look of subtle concern crosses his face, as if questioning how much he should question this masked woman operating in the open in the Friendly Arm, where masks are not permitted at entry.

It would seem the man clothed in sea-blue fabric is not interested in any trouble. He then speaks: "I not believe this is the best place that we should speak, lady of the mask. Reputations are both made and broken by crossing the laws set."

There is a pause in the air, where this wayfarer lets the moment flow into the coming action, by either the masked lady, or the guards.

///Just to say, I always thought masks were not allowed in the FAI proper at all, not just when entering. My Character also has this opinion, so I am only responding IC as best I can. Cheers.

Noel overhears the conversation as he inspects the items Dhavel has on display. He looks at the masked woman apraisingly, then smiles at Dhavels response.

Before you go in, one moment if you have the time. This is a unique item and can be sold for much gold if you are patient. If you arent, I can offer you 300000 to take it off your hands now.

The man is caught flat-flooted by the bold appearance of the new person, and the confidence spoken, in the offer for an item he has placed openly in order to barter.

"Though I know you not goodman, you speak as one with a wisdom I myself do not possess, this...appraising voice that speaks directly. Will you further tell me which item exactly is that which you desire, for I did not see or hear it."

A smile curved at her lips as she examined the man her gaze drifting to the new comer a small raise of her eyebrow at the rudeness. She would proceed to lift her hand to the mask and remove it though she keeps her hood pulled forwards as much as can be managed her lips and fair skin show.

"Quite unbecoming to swipe through as another speaks but such is the case. I myself am looking to purchase both items. The armor can have some worth as I have seen a piece like it before but only certain individuals are capable of it's use. Leaving the price to not be so high as you may wish. But for me that matters little.

She slips a roll of parchment and hands it to the man.

"The list of items I myself could trade unless you wish to mix an amount of money into it. Browse at your leisure and I am certain we can come to a fair agreement.

[Steve]

He says: "Tis true that, at moments, important words must be written, for all to know...."

The man slowly looks at the parchment, as he hosts two different interested parties, before him.

Raising his head, the man in sturdy cloth of sea-blue color returns the parchment to the recently unmasked lady.

"Many of these wares are unfamiliar to my skills, goodwoman. Look upon me, and if you see me clearly, you observe one that needs not objects to weigh him down, or as We say, to hinder the flow. However...shall we speak further of your interest in the sword, if gold coin is something you wish to offer?"

Turning to the man who bid boldly on the armor, he states: "Your bid greatly supports my cause, goodman. I will take it. With such wealth I may finally see the honoring of the Water Lord constructed."
