A masked man of swirling frost and wind see the notes and begins to deface them or freeze them to the point of when they shatter to the floor in pieces.
Only the occasional note is left in its place:

The Storm is coming, the Frost Queen will quench the fires of this world.

Most of the notices were left inside taverns, some would thus be in too open space to be defiled unless one wants trouble with the innkeep. It doesn't take long for Adelaide to find a defiled notice and the note which was left behind. A spark of fury is visible in her amber eyes when reading the words left behind. The note is pocketed and no replacement is put up as she counts on that the words on the other notices will reach those she seeks.
