A druid cannot use infinite 100+ damage blasts either. At any rate you asked why we vote no and that is one of my reasons. I am sure that no matter what you will disagree with my opinion and that is fine.
I am all for more PRC's always as long as they are balanced. Even if they end up nerfed to shit like battlerager.

Hey man, if its an honest reason I'll consider it.AlwaysSummer Day wrote:A druid cannot use infinite 100+ damage blasts either. At any rate you asked why we vote no and that is one of my reasons. I am sure that no matter what you will disagree with my opinion and that is fine.

So basically I see it like this, the class ups damage, at the cost of AC, survivability, and versatility as compared to druid. Do you disagree?

Re: Guttural Invocations
I'm 99% sure you cannot use that feat while in devil form; it has to be before or after without custom scripting. The best a warlock can hope to compete with druid/SS healing is to go the CON route and take epic healing feats, then use the fiendish feat before shifting into devil form.Akroma666 wrote:Tsidkenu wrote:Akroma666 wrote:. . .Beyond the fiendish heal feat, this would be the only means of healing.
I'm going to argue here that many people only take the devil form for its free healing only. If you do not take special care to build your warlock a certain way, that healing may be needed immensely on your build, especially, if you went the dex route and have low STR.

Re: Guttural Invocations
i voted no .
i have a warlock.
The reason i voted no is quite simple : i think there are many "broken" invocations in warlock that makes their use more or less useless or at least of limited usefulness ... what i think is that would be better to "fix" those invocations remaining true to its original flavor then to add new feats or things to make those invocation worth of being used .
for example with the word of changing invocation the fix i would love to see is a really power bump in the creature you shapechage in ... c'mon its a deamon ... you get it at the cost of one of the only 3 dark invocation you can have ... considering this its not worth taking it even for the fast healing feat ... it should increase power as warlock gains levels for example it should have non only dmg by natural weapon but even some possibility to bypass dmg reduction and it should have a bit more AC than it has at the moment .
so in my opinion no need of guttural invocation but better pump the devil ( a lot ) ...
ps
for the same reason i sent some times ago an idea for utter dark blast to QC suggesting to allow the level drain the invocation give to stack within a certain max limit given by the warlock level .... any news about that from the QC ? i know you are reading this
edit:

Re: Guttural Invocations
@pwdcrk1: I can agree to that point.. I just feel the shapechange for investing in a dark invocation is pretty lackluster. Specially considering it limits your selected invocation pool and makes your whole character concept worthless. AKA the character now cant blast anything. If the demon scaled on say perhaps your blast dice instead.. THAT would be agreeable.
