Orc Build

Alright folks, i really need your help with some build wizardry. So the momentum on the orc warband is beginning to roll and I need some assistance with planning a character build.

So here's the theme I'm going for:

Grimdar the Indomitable, this orc needs to be tough as nails. I envision him the guy standing in the field taking hits left and right. While shouting threats. He may not be the hardest hitter, but I would like him to be the last "orc" standing. He is the guy that charges into the thick of things, not stands in the back.

Features:

* race - orc (grey or half)
* weapon of choice - great axe, falchion, or bastard sword
* melee oriented
* would be nice to be able to cast some spells, but not necessary
* durability - either good ac, dr, saves, or some sort of combination
* good heal skill or other way to regain hp

Now I've tried combinations of warrior of darkness, barbarian, fighter, black guard, and even going so far as going some wacky palemaster, sorcerer, blackguard route and I've only managed to hit around 46-50 AC, and seemingly less than mediocre at everything else.

This one doesn't wield a weapon, but since you tried a similar concept, you might wanna take another look at the boxer route. This one has all a boxer needs and is quite resilient with Stone Body and extended Regenerate up.

Why not a barbarian 20/fighter 10 with EDR ? Sounds like the last man standing taking hits left and right but still standing to me.

If id roll an orcen toon id go for an archer build by rogue10, ea3, assassin9, wilderness stalker7. Aiming for +8 mighty.

That awesome fellow that shot Boromir to death, but sneakier so them Aragorns dont take its head.

Keep it coming . I've got it narrowed down to melee cleric with a weapon and shield or a dark templar type character (ie. barb/fighter/bg/wod)

With a cleric I assume CL 30 is a must to avoid dispels. That leaves a few choice PrC that give full spell progression or 3/4 with spell casting prodigy.

Cleric 13/herophant 10/weaponmaster 7

Praticed spellcaster + divine spell power 1, 2 & 3
Make it easier on yourself and follow one-eye for a free weapon special feat, which you need for weaponmaster.
30 CL even with 7 levels of wm. Thanks to 4 + 3.


Stats, skills other feats up to you. Can toss in edm if your feeling frisky and somehow decide an orc with 21 charisma is doable. Probably better to go pure strong tho.

Thanks for the help everyone! I've settled on 13 cleric / 10 heirophant / 7 fighter. It got me CL 30 and a nice selection of feats!

Topped out at around 56 AC and 42 AB w/o using divine power and prayer.

Mission complete!
