Red Wizard Spell Casting= Broken.

I've been saying this without feedback, but I've made tests and cannot stress enough how broken our class is.

The DC should be 38 for flesh to stone(transmu) and 32 for Chain lightning(evoc).

Tested with with other spells of evocation schools and different element (Not lightning)
Tested Other schools too:
Acid fog's DC was 32 (lvl 6 conjuration spell) which is correct.
Tested Sophilism(lvl 7 spell), dc 33 which is also correct.
Fireball (lvl3 evoc) DC 32 Incorrect.
Rainbow beam DC 31 Incorrect.

Seems the Evocation school by default gets a +3 that belongs to Transmutation school (in my case).

As if I was an invoker (+3 DC due to feats) and not a transmuter(-3 dc) But getting the benifits of RW class DC on my right school.



The Enhanced specialization isn't working.

We are basically Wizards dressed in Red. :P

My assumption is that the new specialization/opposition system screws up Red Wizard's calculations as the new system sidesteps the traditional mechanics. RW probably can't tell what specialization it actually needs to calculate for and defaults to Evocation.


For the calculations done tonight, how they SHOULD be calculating, and what they actually resulted with. All of these were done by Kahanak, a TRANSMUTATION SPECIALIST.

Transmutation: 10 + 3 (Epic) + 1 (Prodigy) + 3 (Spell Focuses) + 3 (Red Wizard) + 12 (Int) + 6 (Spell Level)
What it should be: 38
What it actually was: 35


Instead of showing up as 38, level 6 transmutation spells were showing up as 35, indicating it wasn't including the Red Wizard bonuses.


Evocation: 10 + 3 (Epic) + 1 (Prodigy) + 0 (Spell Focuses) + 0 (Red Wizard) + 12 (Int) + 6 (Spell Level)
What it should be: 32
What it actually was: 35


Clearly seems to be including the 3 from RW that was supposed to go towards Transmutation.


Everything else: 10 + 3 (Epic) + 1 (Prodigy) + 0 (Spell Focuses) + 0 (Red Wizard) + 12 (Int) + 6 (Spell Level)
What it should be: 32
What it actually was: 32


Tests on conjuration and other school spells all came up as 32, as they should.

It has been reported QC side but we don't get terribly regular comms with what the Devs are doing (maybe M3nt does but general QC doesn't). Devs work on whatever projects they feel like at the time and let us know when they've completed it for review/testing.

It'll get done when it gets done, like the rest of the stuff.
