Spirit Shaman - Telthor Companion and Natural Bond

Alright, telthor companion is supposed to give you a companion at -3 levels of the shaman. Natural Bond is supposed to work with it as well.

So in case I am missing something here... If I had say... 11 levels of SS *and* natural bond... Why does my spirit wolf have 7 hit dice?

Check the HD of the beasts at level 11. It's 7, once you hit level 12, it will be 9. Working as intended

In that case, it appears natural bond is not working with the creature.

It is working. Taking natural bond gives you the companion progression of a druid. You have 11 levels of SS. Without natural bond, that is 8 levels of companion progression. Taking natural bond gives you 11 levels of companion progression. 11 levels of companion progression gives a 7 HD companion. Once you hit level 12, you will get 9 HD.

If you didn't have natural bond, your companion would be 5 HD, because you would only have 8 levels of companion progression.
