Diplomatic wizard

Hello everyone!

As the days of 100% RCR draw near I join the crowd of players asking for advice in rebuilding its PCs

I try to develop a build of a DC wizard with high diplomacy and bluff skills. It doesn't need to be good (and likely won't be). However, I'd rather avoid going the route of Shadow Adept. It will probably be a sun elf (so there's +2 INT bonus in play). Apparently, bluff and diplomacy are not so easy to get as a class skill for an arcane caster.

So far I'm thinking about either:

1. Wizard/ Blood Magus/ Arcane Scholar/ Archmage - this one may reach DC of 32 + spell level with spellcasting prodigy, practiced spellcaster, spellpower III, blood magic, spell focus III and Great Intelligence IV (total INT at 34 with +3 item). The feats required for PRCs make it unlikely this one would get Able Learner, though.

2. Rogue/ Wizard/ Blood Magus/ Arcane Trickster - this one would lose at least 1 point of DC, but would get plenty of skills and feats above Able Learner.

Does anyone have any other ideas? Any experience which is more playable? How these would be improved? I'd appreciate any thoughts! Even confirmation that I didn't miss any standard build. The 100% RCR likely won't be back soon

Guild Thief 4 dip, those skills as class skills and you may take silent and still spell for free at 2nd and 4th level?

A 3 level dip would also bring +4 to diplo and bluff btw along with 2d6 SA.
Jack in Arcane Trickster10 and you have 7d6 SA.


Harper agent has both skills as class skill.
No, you do not have to be good to take the class (just not evil).

I believe arcane scholar gets diplomacy as a class skill. I've maxed out diplomacy myself fairly easily without having to sacrifice any feats.

Yes, the arcane scholar is for diplomacy and blood magus for bluff in my first build. What worries me is that in this build I'll likely need to give up able learner. This means I may need to rotate levels to max the skills up.

Shadow thief could be indeed ibteresting alternative to rogue. Lose evasion and some skill points, but boost diplomacy amd bluff to higher level.
