No. It is a dual gpu. Most games are not designed for using dual GPU's or crossfire or SLI configurations. You will bring to the table all sorts of new problems. More often than not, what you will get is the performance of one of those GPU's. DX 12 and Vulkan will more than likely change things in the future regarding dual GPU, crossfire, and SLI configurations, but that does nothing for you now. If you need the extra performance for specific games, then this may be a good reason. Many dual GPU's are made for things other than games like some of the FirePro series.CommanderKrieg wrote:What about this Radeon R9 295X2?
Would I be better with that rather than the 980 gtx??
Also, the machine that you are building is not capable of running that kind of configuration without bottle necking at the CPU. You will not get better performance than the RX 480 or 1060 or older GPU like the 980 with that generation of AMD processor in all likely hood. There is no need to spend anymore money because it is futile. Spend you money on other things like a good SSD and a monitor.
