I melee alot and my ac isn't in the untouchable range. I average 20 to 30 depending on where I'm at in about an hour.

With the proposed change 20 to 30 still only means 1 minute or 1 minute and 30 seconds more spent on healing. I can't see this as an extreme and crippling change no matter how I look at it, people will still use heal kits as often, just not in combat where it would be more risky (because monsters might outdamage the healing of one heal kit while outdamaging two heal kits is harder).

It's not user-friendly and it's mildly annoying surely, but consider the positive consequences : it's a change to make healers more important in combat, something that is hardly true now because of those kits and heal potions.

So what about the solo player? That haant been talked about yet. It's all done and dandy in a grp up but that guy or gal who had a few minutes to login is getting hosed. Suddenly.

It was talked about, the solo player will be hosed by a minute more of healing, he might wet his pinky toe, suddenly.

I agree that low ac / solo players, players without magic will be impacted too much. I am not in favor of a change at all.

Now, if you want to talk about Increasing the amount of hit points each healing kit heals without changing anything else, then you have my vote. :)

How about something like this

* imp healing: heal 1 additional hp for every 2 points into you heal skill

* greater healing: heal 1 additional hp for every 2 points in your heal skill (stacks with improved healing)

* epic healing: heal 1 additional hp for every 1 point into your heal skill (stacks with previous) in addition cures 1 of the following conditions:

- blind
- stunned
- slowed
- bleeding
- ability penalty (1 only)

Cool down 6 seconds or 12 seconds on epic healing condition removal.

mundane kits can not cure magical effects and natural side effects are not gonna be cured by a kit either

aside from that, bleeding is already cured by any source of healing
everyone is evil till proven otherwise
