Wirg to Pug: "Iz lat dun?"
Pugratix to a snarky militia man: "Mmmm. Not yet. I will live for hundreds of years and be heralded as one of the greatest forces of destruction on the face of the world. The only thing you can destroy is the outhouse."

I don't see the vampire as a race, but an infection. So..it'll be a no from me

I don't see how it would help with ANYTHING. Aside from making butchering vampires easier.Akroma666 wrote:Concerns about racial PvP balance could be addressed with a lower level cap? Say max level of 15 or even 10.
It would focus rp into tribe mentality for things like goblins and kolbolds or convents for vamps.
If local clerics/paladins allowed a vampire to grow to epic levels, well, it is their fault and they should either all die because of their incompetence or find a way to deal with the creature. It isn't indestructible and it is not an ancient dragon either.
Enforcing some sort of level cap is definitely a wrong idea.

There are no level 30's, only level 20's with benefits...

The way the day and night cycle work on this server it could be a problem , All them vamps would sit in doors 75% of the time unless they want to burst into fire.

"Whoops sorry guys. Bed time"
You can already do that. You won't be hunting PC vampires though.Face wrote:Any way i would love to see them get implemented so i can roll a halfling vamp hunter that shoots bolts dipped in garlic

You can ask for dm help, hunt palemasters and mistakenly accuse people of being vampires while using poisoned garlic arrows.Face wrote:Yep but lets be honest its just alot more fun to hunt a player vamp as there um...'ai' is better.
There are lots of options. Just saying.

Re: Vampire subrace
I know one could do that but for me personal , conflict with a player is just so mutch more fun becouse there wil be more play time with a other player then with a 2 hour DM event.NegInfinity wrote:You can ask for dm help, hunt palemasters and mistakenly accuse people of being vampires while using poisoned garlic arrows.Face wrote:Yep but lets be honest its just alot more fun to hunt a player vamp as there um...'ai' is better.

Re: Vampire subrace
I'm afraid D&D vampries don't work that way.Face wrote: finding a cure for your bitten friends
There's no cure, no "vampiric infection" and D&D undead are something other than original creatures (it is sort of an "imitation" of original host fueled by negative energy). Speaking of which trying to resurrect an undead raises original creature, last time I checked.Create Spawn (Su)
A humanoid or monstrous humanoid slain by a vampire’s energy drain rises as a vampire spawn 1d4 days after burial.
If the vampire instead drains the victim’s Constitution to 0 or lower, the victim returns as a spawn if it had 4 or less HD and as a vampire if it had 5 or more HD. In either case, the new vampire or spawn is under the command of the vampire that created it and remains enslaved until its master’s destruction. At any given time a vampire may have enslaved spawn totaling no more than twice its own Hit Dice; any spawn it creates that would exceed this limit are created as free-willed vampires or vampire spawn. A vampire that is enslaved may create and enslave spawn of its own, so a master vampire can control a number of lesser vampires in this fashion. A vampire may voluntarily free an enslaved spawn in order to enslave a new spawn, but once freed, a vampire or vampire spawn cannot be enslaved again.
Conflict is good. As long as players can keep in mind that players and their characters are two different things.Face wrote: BUT conflict is bad right? *Wink wink*
