I just want to briefly thank the community writ large, staff and non-staff alike, for its patience. I know there have been growing pains since March.

In six months we've released an enormous amount of content (not all of it well documented, or even really ready for release), lost our admin, received a new (if reluctant) admin, moved servers, moved forums, undergone dozens of updates (and several rollbacks), seen a change in duties for several staff groups and the invention of several other staff groups, received a second admin, experienced numerous changes both in game and out, and otherwise just taken you all for a bit of a bumpy ride ...

But the fact that you continue to support us, and that you continue to participate in this shared project and collaborative story, is greatly encouraging to me. And it means a lot.

I promise that we will try to remain as receptive to the community's feedback as we can be, even when lines sometimes cross or when two sides want different things. And we will continue trying--hopefully in a mostly successful and progressive fashion--to stabilize and improve the server for everyone. But we're really nothing without the staff volunteers and the players who make this place what it is, and I promise that we will not lose sight of that.

Thanks, again, everyone, for sharing yourselves, your talents, and your efforts with our collective community.

Wow when you write it all out like that the server really has improved a lot this year. It's certainly breathed new life into it.

I would like to thank DM Creo for their dynamic, creative and intriguing events.

I'd like to thank the player of Alexandra Keenan, the Guide of Candlekeep. You really brought your PC to life. It was great RP and something I sorely I missed. So glad she took the time to RP with me and excited to see RP more in the future

Right back at you! :) It's always a delight to RP with someone who is excited about scholarly pursuits.

Big thank you to Lisa, Calodan, Stonebar, Tuck85, Mallore and Legofsalmon for running speartop with me today. Fun RP and a lot of good feedback on the area to pass on to tfunke. Let's do it again sometime!

Also a thank you to the many players that have purchased from and/or RP'd with Tarent. Learning a bunch of different tactics people use based on the various wands, elixirs and scrolls they buy! I've had more fun rp'ing over the past week than in a long time, so appreciate everyone interacting with me!

"Is that why you are killing them?"
"Yes. They will atone in death."
"Ah. That will help them understand."

How can I begin to thank DM Soulcatcher for all of their hard work on the event today? I really cant, but I'll try! Thank you DM Soucatcher for the late notice flick of the wrist, pull out a fantastic event on the drop of a dime!! This event was fantastic. It was in depth, lore accurate, fun, exciting, and dramatic. Soulcatcher is one of the greatest at catching souls but they really caught our hearts there.

Myself and everyone involved had a great time. We have been planning that story arc for nearly 4 months, and you pulled it off seamlessly with a few hours notice. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire thing. The VFX were captivating, the interactions were fun, and generally I was engaged the entire time. Grabbed plenty of screenshots and memories, and I can say I am really happy with the result.

I also wanted to thank Colonic for coming back for a 1 day event! Colonic is an incredible player of many wonderful characters. His character gave mine his word nearly six months ago that he would be there on the drop of a hat. We gave him one week notice and BAM! Thank you Ameris for showing up! Making this event possible, and for generally being a great player of our community.

I would be a fool not to thank DM Lobo, who has been involved with nearly every event I've been part of since coming back to the server. DM Lobo is a highly talented DM with a great sense of humor... I was just.. Not expecting magic chicken noodle soup.

Next, I wanted to thank all of the players involved with the event. If I miss a name, its only because I am terrible at spelling and remembering login names. So thank you Elyssa, Luke, Salaria, Ameris, Isabella, Fenix, Wendy, and everyone involved. You all made the event more memorable with every interaction you added. I really enjoyed everyone involved.

Then finally thank you to DM Ditto for their patience in reading my 7,000 emails asking hair splitting questions. You helped us in digging up a request from long long ago, and were willing to work with us to make it happen.

And I may as well thank the entire staff at this point. Thank you to our DM staff here on BG. I have had a really great time on the server. We have a great staff, who has put good people to work. Its really encouraging to see how creative and fun each of these individuals are. I cant help but say we are really spoiled with all of the talent we have here. :)
-Insert profound statement-

Out of good ones.
