Those who frequently visit the Theater, may have noticed that over the past days the statue of Lliira seems to be well attended to. Closer examination of the statue would reveal a small simple wooden symbol of Lathander at the foot of it which would mostly be hidden by daises and violets - flowers favoured by the goddess.

A quiet, hooded figure steps inside the theater. His clothes are worn and dirty from long travel and little care. His hood is pulled tight to conceal his face and eyes. And while his step is light, it seems to carry a good deal of weariness.

He pauses as he reaches the bottom of the steps, looking all around. A wistful smile races across his obviously tired face as memories flood his every being.

As he and Karl's eyes meet, he raises a finger to his lips and shakes his head slowly asking not to be called to in recognition. He then smiles and bows his head slightly to the custodian, turning then and walking over to Lliira's statue where he kneels, head bowed low in reverence.

He starts to lean forward to kiss her feet as he had done so often before when he sees the flowers and symbol. Chuckling softly he simply kisses his own fingers and touches her feet, his eyes lighting as an overwhelming joy wells up into his heart.

He then stands, still not removing his long hood, walking onto the stage, he looks out onto the imaginary crowd and bows once more with a theatrical flare.

With a song now faintly heard, though only hummed, and a much lighter step, he leaves the theater once more, hoping for whatever reason, that Karl was the only one who even saw him being there.

He wonders to himself how he will explain to those he loved ... no -loves- so much, his reasons for his sudden and long disappearance.

A tall lithe woman with red curled hair found her way to the White Mask theater in Baldurs Gate, stepping inside. A backpack filled apparent with scrolls and potions was slid from her shoulder. She bent down, opening it up. Five scrolls bound together were taken from it, tucked under her arm and she called into the open theater tentatively: "Hello? Is anyone there? Might Herran or Shandril be here?"

Herran pens a letter to those currently caring for the orphans of Baldurs Gate.


Dear Caretakers,

The White Mask Theater is currently rehearsing for a soon to be opened play.

The title of this play is "Thistle" and is a story about a dragon, a fair lady and a most unlikely hero ... a brownie.

The end of this coming tenday we are having a dress rehearsal, which is the last rehearsal we shall do before opening the play to the general public. We of the White Mask would like to open an invitation to the orphans to come watch this, our last, rehearsal. It is a lighthearted comedy with a few stage effects that are sure to delight! Do please alert the orphans in advance of the effects as the younger ones might otherwise be a bit frightened.

We will offer snacks, drinks and a short tour of the back stage area after the rehearsal to any of the interested orphans.

Anyone walking by the garden outside the theater -might- notice that in and around the pond, new flowers have been planted. Iris's, a beautiful purplish flower.

Herran comes out of the lounge, his eyes in a near panic.

Making his way to lliiras statue, he kneels in reverent prayer, placing one Iris flower on each foot.

He does not look up, does not concern himself should anyone come into the theater, concentrating instead on the words he speaks to his goddess Lliira, Joybringer, Mistress of Dance and Song.

Guide my steps, let my feet dance along the path you have sent me to follow. May your joy show on all the faces I pass. And may those in my wake feel your love.

Make my words sing in your truth. Make my words lose that which makes them so hollow. For joy is not hollow, not the true joy of which you so willingly share.

Joy is to be felt ... -trusted- , the strength of it open and obvious to all around.

My heart desires this truth as well. the strength and power of joy of which my mother tried so desperately to teach me. I want the same power as she had. For no one doubted her words.

But it is hard ... I have for so long cheated ... taken the easy and quick path of a traveling bard to bring instant, short lived smiles. Have I missed your lessons completely?

He returns to his silence, head bowed before her statue, his shoulders shudder, eyes closed and constantly wiped with his hands.

Word around the theater is abuzz with excitement as it is rumored the play they have been working on is nearing its grand opening.

Posters are placed around Baldur's Gate and along the Trade Way.

Herran is seen early at the theater in mostly good spirits as he prepares for the day.

Grand opening today Karl! Make sure everything sparkles! He laughs good naturedly to the janitor.

Hoppy Toadmeadow is seen frollicking out of the theatre early in the morning, bounding to everybody she sees and telling them about the play these evening, almost stumbling over her words with excitement as she speaks about the star being a Brownie?!

Herran and the troupe spend a long time after the show greeting members of the audience.

The play went on without a hitch, with the exception of a few large spiders that somehow found their way in, and was widely enjoyed by most ... if not all.

No fruit tonight! Herran can be heard saying in his usual, light manner.

Rose is seen gluing new dates on the current posters, and old ones that had not been used. Quite cheerful after the first performance, and seemingly relieved it went without a hitch.

Herran .. is seen in and around the theater barking orders and offering up light hearted humor as he prepares for the last night of the play "Thistle"

Herran closes the theater temporarily as a host of Spiders were found during and after the last play. Him, Karl and several temporary hires scour the theater closing open holes and destroying nests.
