So, near the entrance people sometimes get teleported to the top right of the map. Mostly that I've seen it happen it's not... painful, just puts them behind the hidden passage bookcase. But right now the bookcase leads to the bottom left of the map, still Pyro Valgrave and Pimpjwp were teleported to the top right. And so was I, after a while running around near the entrance. Taking damage and going straight to the "cage" in the room with the red, gray and purple floor tiles. Maybe when the two of them stepped on one? No idea, but there you go, weirdness has been reported :)
Oh, and the door "back" from the room isn't letting anyone through. We can open the door but it quickly closes again by itself. And we also can't go through the door to go forward. Same thing, it closes immediately, rightclick to press "use" doesn't help. We're stuck! STUCK! And going to DIE of starvation!

Ulcaster's ruins teleport
"They're just furry and misunderstood."
"Is that why you are killing them?"
"Yes. They will atone in death."
"Ah. That will help them understand."

Re: Ulcaster's ruins teleport
I was also randomly teleported to the "blood anchor" room on an earlier reset
If this is a feature, then I approve 110%, so long as the door to get out after solving the tile-puzzle is fixed
I can verify that the door out is bugged as well.
Great area though, all things considered!
Loooove the attention to detail and all the little lore tidbits.

This is a known issue, and is being addressed. The door has been fixed (for a future update), but the teleport glitch is very difficult to replicate, so if you can pinpoint the exact location that it happens (down to a single pixel if you know it), that would be very helpful.

Re: Ulcaster's ruins teleport
When I got teleported yesterday, I was standing exactly in the tile adjacent to the (exit point) of the end teleporter on the material plane to go back to the start. I was in the tile that doesn't include the bookshelf. I was standing there, about to type RP, then suddenly, bam, I was teleported to the pressure floor failure waypoint.gedweyignasia wrote:Pimple wrote:So, near the entrance people sometimes get teleported to the top right of the map. Edit: Luckily that room was in the rotation for that reset, so I could easily leave it again.

Re: Ulcaster's ruins teleport
This isn't the door that locks behind you, but both the doors in the tile room, which have otherwise worked just fine! This reset they didn't. But I'm not sure if anyone actually entered through the door. After a reset, those two doors work again.gedweyignasia wrote:The door has been fixed (for a future update), but the teleport glitch is very difficult to replicate, so if you can pinpoint the exact location that it happens (down to a single pixel if you know it), that would be very helpful.
It happened for me on the tile just in front of the one with the entrance to the map. So I walked around on it for a while looking for the spot, found it three or four times. Takes a while, so it's either very specific or.. something else.
Hidden: show
Also, the third time I was teleported to the tile room, when I went to the door back the same thing happened. A tile was pushed and I was teleported back to the other end of the room. When I went for the door again it worked fine.

Re: Ulcaster's ruins teleport
Yes, this has been fixed. Those were two facets of the same bug. The code isn't live yet, but look for it in the next update that changes Ulcaster.Pimple wrote:This isn't the door that locks behind you, but both the doors in the tile room, which have otherwise worked just fine! OK, that's not where I'd seen the bug before. Patching in a more general fix for the issue. It should be fixed when the next Ulcaster update goes live.
THANK YOU for all the debugging assistance! I know it's not fun being stuck and jumped around because of a developer's crummy code, and I'm sorry I didn't get it right the first time. Because you're making such helpful, detailed bug reports, future players aren't going to have to go through what you did, so you all deserve some thanks.
Udate:
These bugfixes are now live, and you can enjoy Ulcaster without horrible things happening to you. (Other than the horrible things that we intended to happen to you, of course.)
