Rumours of Sshamath

[Moridin]

Rumours begin circulating the Glouras, and through parts of the Darkwood District that Qu'ellar Zau'afin is looking to hire a small band of mercenaries to perform a task for profit. There are many tales about what this task could be, but the only way to find out is to ask the Zau'afins themselves.

[Israe]

A young female drow adorned in gold and black is seen entering the bazaar. Her attitude radiates her easily as a noble of a house, and she doesn't hide the symbols of Dev'lin upon her as well as the plethora of gold and silver jewelry. Everything about her is well kept as she seems to radiate an unnatural beauty, yet her piercing eyes make eye contact and a sneer would follow to any who dares look at her. She spends quite some time browsing the stalls and merchants, though she is devoid of any real companions and traveling alone. She repeatedly glances over her shoulder as if nervous, worried that someone is watching her. She stays within the Mythal range for now, getting a room in the spider's kiss inn.

A drow bardess makes her way through the tunnels surrounding Sshamath. She leaves a trail of wanton destruction. Bodies of all who oppose her progress, be they goblin, trog, or beasts of varying origin.

Those who merely watch her passing would see a clasp fastening her cloak in place. A deep obsidian gem with a golden spider centered in a silver web. The insignia of Quellar Dev'lin.

[Heimdallr]

There is a newcomer in the Sshamath that has his face always covered and wears a cloak with Lolth symbol on it. Rumours say that he is taking every task that earns a coin, always near a caravan as a mercenary or picking any gather/monster kill or assasination task.

Lomith Zau'afin is seen enterring the School of Necromancy at a brisk pace. Once inside, it is rumoured she met with one of the high necromancers...

Two Zauafin and a unmistakable necromancer in a white top hat can be seen wandering the tunnels near the mines. After a short while the necromancer and Naravein Zauafin can be seen within the hive .............

A half-drow with pale skin and pink hair just visible under the black hood could be seen entering the city of Sshamath from Varalla's Passage, stopping any and all he met to ask if they had seen one Rilae'ar'an. To each he offered only the briefest introductions and farewells before moving on to the next person passing by with little regard for who or what he or she might be.

He moved in the general direction of the tavern Gloria's Wings, where he spent some time walking back and forth questioning strangers. When asked for his name he would simply say "Kevros", and once given any indication of an answer he would quickly move on, sometimes quietly saying things like "Have to find Rilae. Make sure she knows."

After a while he conversed with a masked woman introducing herself as "Dal", and could be seen following her lead from outside the tavern and through the southern district to Darkwood.

[Kauaiian]

In the dim light of the Gloura's Wing tavern, two males could be seen conversing for some time over a few bottles of wine. Passerby would notice the male Drow to be non other than the Guide of the Seventh Circle himself. Rumors and speculation abound about what the two could possibly be speaking on and later tension was high when an overzealous Vhaerunite disturbed their hushed talk with shouts proclaiming Vhaerun over Lolth and cursing the Spider Queen so openly.

The two simply ignored the zealot and continued speaking. Whatever they were speaking of, it had to of been of some importance.

[Storm Munin]

A young drowess clad in shredded blue armor were seen staggering through the streets leading from Varalla's to the Gloura's wing late in the cycle.
She crumbled to her knees in front of a drowess in a green tunic to offer something bloodstained before falling to the ground.

The drowess in the tunic soon gained the aid of a paleskinned hooded behemoth, and the pair soon half carried the young one into the Gullets Horn.

Those venturing in the goblin infested cavern would stumble upon a humanoid who was seemingly turned into stone. Based on his height he might very well be a drow ... his left hand scratching his ass while the right one holds a bow ...

Who or what turned him into stone is uncertain ... given that the area is rather far away from the basilisks caverns might suggest that it was not one those ...

Three drow can be seen searching the tunnels of the underdark . Two are reconizable as coven of darkness members while the third can clearly be seen adoring house Zauafin garb. The three drow are seen searching the wilds and then are spotted heading up to the surface exterminating everything that stand in there path . " the outsiders from the world above will be caught and killed " one of the drow says to another ," make sure to post guards and a attack group outside this cave were the kivvil were seen coming threw ".

This cycle, a rumour quickly spreads throughout Sshamath, affirming that the fahliel Uelaereene Sai'zzel has been designated as the speaking member of the School of Invocation and Evocation at the Bureacracy of Sshamath. This is shortly after confirmed as true by the most gossiping members of the School.

It seems a surface was seen in the streets of Sshamath speaking to Wirg in the city about a certain drow who had incurred the wrath of Hoar and decided to create a blood feud between her and Koryeneer of House Sentinel. Whispers may start to get out that a challenge had been laid to the drowess of testing mettle with metal or with drink the choice was hers...........

Rumours circulate from the patrols outside the city of a 'presence' they sometimes feel as they traverse the tunnels. Footsteps running past, bestial breathing nearby, growling sounds.

Some have claimed it is a guardian spirit of some kind as it has alerted them to dangers. One patrol even reported avoiding a Troglodyte ambush when a pair of bright fiery eyes appeared in front of them; it seemed to turn and run towards where the Troglodytes were lying in wait thwarting their ambush, upon which the eyes disappeared. Without the element of surprise the Troglodytes were duly dispatched.

Others have stated however this is merely the idle talk of jaluks in the ranks.
