Parry- for a dex finesse hipster

Unread post by Fragglerock »

As the title begins, is parry good for a buffed 30 dex hipster with epic dodge, and if so what is the minimum amount of parry for it to be worth it?

I was considering, EW from hips, then epic dodge kicks in, and then hopefully parry until you re-hip??

While I completely know what that title means, and what you are asking, my brain immediately went off the deep end with that.

As such, you are welcome.

Basically is it worth it to crank up Parry, so it allows me to a few seconds after ED, for hips to refresh, or should I use those precious skill points for other things ?

That picture worries me :o

And I can't log in...stupid servers, computers.....GAAAHH

Depends whether you went with the Onehander feat or not, or intend to make use of the skill not to get hit in combat.
However hitting the parry icon prevents any attack on your part that arent a counter attack, afair it has the same delay as the other choices such as ICE so clicking it late in a round really wont help that round.

Parry skill are pretty much not necessary at all on most builds.

Parry has always been a rather pointless skill. About the only thing I like about it is that it introduces some semblance of active/skill-based defense rather than relying on passive AC.

I've always wanted to see a Feat added that grants +1 AC per X ranks of Parry, as is the case with Tumble.

No, it does not stack with items. And ranks are only the level up skill points, so max 5 deflection.

There's a lot of missing info I suppose.
What are the Reqs on that? It's not in the Wiki.

True and working, except not re-applied on death. The change was done in January from what I can see :

It's all the time, that frees up one slot potentially. It seemed buggy at beginning but now working just fine (except not being applied after you die once so better keep a +deflection ac item in inventory just in case :P ).

Can't you relog to fix that?
Or do you have to wait for server reset?
