Rumours spread about Candlekeep being besieged by kobolds. After dealing with skirmishers, defenders of Candlekeep, aided by adventurers, pushed the fight back to the Lion's way, where the main battle took place. Travellers can see the road thowards the keep, riddled with dead bodies of kobolds- the land scorched with spells (several craters visible on the road). It's said that the army of kobolds was ultimately defeated, although with great effort.

The Sembian Black Galleon arrived yesterday on the coast south of Candlekeep. Hundreds of Sembian troops have deployed on the beach and started the process of turning it in to a fortified encampment. While the army was distracted by the deployment, a group of Bentley Mirrorshade's militia snuck in to camp. Fighting there way through surprised Sembain troops the group managed to turn the armies own siege weapons against them. They used the war machines to strike the Black Galleon a terrific blow setting it a blaze. While sailors and soldiers alike battled to save the Galleon the brave militia group set the siege weapons on fire and fled for there lives. Songs are being sung at the Friendly Arms Inn praising the hero's bravery and mocking the Sembian Grand Duke Xandar De'Cardi.

The Black Galleon is no more. What remains of the once great ship, now lies smoldering on the coast south of Candlekeep. The army of Grand Duke Xandar De'Cardi, once reported to have numbered near four hundred are said to have taken refuge somewhere in the near by woods. Gossip along the coast seems to agree. This is the end of the Sembian threat. Despite the talk Bentley Mirrorshade remains vigilant. His Militia is now under the command of a warrior of great renown. Travelers may notice that the militia are being drilled regularly and trained for battle. There is also word that a siege commander has been selected and a well known Mercenary company is lending it's aid to protect the Friendly Arms Inn.

The situation with kobolds has changed.

After many groups of adventurers spilling kobold blood left and right, riddling the coast with their bodies wherever they sought them... Some region are now safer than others.
Kobolds in Cloakwoods disappeared and are not a common sight once more, though whispers suggest them to be regrouping and in hiding.
Kobolds in region of Nashkel mines are not a threat anymore. Without their warlord and nobody to lead- the tribe is once more in struggle of "What to do now?"
The Trade's way seems largely passable from Baldur's Gate thowards Friendly Arms Inn. Coast South of Candlekeep remains under Koboldy rule, if such can be said about kobolds.
The remains of kobolds in the Woods of Sharp Teeth are regrouping into their hiding holes upon rumoured Sembians establishing a forward camp in there. What are their plans? Nobody knows...
The koboldy warlord north of Woods of Sharp Teeth has lived without any threat. Rangers and hunters can be heard talking like the tribe has gained more strength than they thought kobolds would... Although they aren't seen very often, they may become a trouble soon.

Last day, rumours could be heard circulating across many regions about portion of the Reaching Woods being mysteriously set on fire, in middle of autumn. As the thick plumes of smoke have risen thowards the sky, from the same part of the forest many kobolds could be seen running away, in chaos, fear... or even burning.

Some say that someone has finally dealt with the kobold king. Others that it may have been an accident in doing something more dark or sinister. One thing is sure, the kobold tribes fell into squabbles among eachother once more, and slowly started to recede back into their caves and former territories from before the coming of the King of Kobolds.

It seems the koboldy threat is starting to slowly pass away.

Chasing Bandits - A bandit was captured and delivered to Baldur's Gate. It turns out he was a courier and his capture useful to authorities. Further action is anticipated on the back of this against the cult of Demon summoners helping bandits. Finding their lair has become a priority.

Undead summoning Cultists have not been heard of in several weeks and one way or another may not be assisting the bandits anymore.

With the break up or pending targeting of spell casters associated with Tradeway Bandits it is feared the surviving bandit groups may reach out to other protective spell makers.

A strike against Demon summoning cultists and their bandit allies was launched in the Wood of sharp teeth not so very far away from where signs of these summonings had been spotted many months ago. However the quality of hireling on the raid was not at it's best and a number of Cultists escaped. It was left to more conventional mercenary Free Companies to assemble and hunt down these Cultists. It is reported a number were brought to justice.

It is rumored that in the night a ghostly horse appeared by the road at the Friendly Arm Inn. It didn't take notice of the people and disappeared with the first beams of the sun. But somehow the horses of the caravans and merchants became uneasy of its presence. Some of the carters even traveled on without resting at the Friendly Arm Inn.

The ghost horse appeared again. Bentley was not very happy because more merchants and caravans will now avoid the Friendly Arm Inn. He decided to ask some adventurers for help. The gnome told them that a carter named Merik lost a horse a tenday ago and that he traveled north. Unfortunatly he didn't know about the destination of Mirek's journey.

There been a few travellers talking about hobgoblins attacking caravans near the tradeway. While a few adventurers made efforts to strike down a few groups, there are certainly more smaller raiding parties out there.

But not so long ago, there been strange rumors about hobgoblins , found dead with black stains on their body emitting an awful stench.

Some folks gossip about supernatural elements, some say that is might just be a simple disease, but nothing certain seems to be known yet.

Bentley is happy that a group of adventurers cared for the Ghost Horse. The merchants and travelers with their horses don't avoid the Friendly Arm Inn anymore.

the Brawl at Boareskyr Bridge

Rumours persist of a recent event at the bridge. With not a paladin or Undead in sight two figures approached the bridge from either end. A Dwarf Dunhelm and from the other side an Orc Virghag the violent. Both in unison grunted and crouched shield up, missile to hand. Ancient enmity and current rage prevailed and without another word magical weapons were hurled before melee weapons drawn both charged. Two mighty foes clashed in a whirlwind of metal. Hack and slash they danced till both bloodied, broken and bruised paused for breath all but fought to a standstill.

At this point there was a magical disclosure and there appeared in plain sight an Imperial Imp, Ric Yhondbe who had been watching the fight. He declared a draw, not that either protagonist agreed. "I set you a challenge both. Gather your clan, your kin, empower your friends but do this. Gather my spears I hold here." He held aloft a magical quiver of 100 spears and before either could react Imps fluttered through a portal gathering a spear eachbefore vanishing again. On and on until 100 spears were gone. "They will scatter them far and wide over the next fourteen days in the Northern Region - find them bring me the most, to prove your worth. To the victor the bragging rights! first and foremost for their kin and clan. But also my treasure map!" He held aloft an old map, and quickly hid it again. "To a worthy second *shrugs* a prize. Go empower your kin get them working or forever hold your tongue!"

Both still on their knees looked a moment, brains slowly turning. They accepted the challenge, as one, they turned back the way the came shouting for kin and bragging rights!"

//spears will be dropped by the imps over the next two weeks - starting Sunday to be found in the Northern region. Dwarves, Orcs, and their friends are encouraged to get involved. Something for a rainy day!

The Imps are at play. (as per above) They have started dropping spears in game to be found in the Northern Region - wherever there creative minds consider sneaky. Of Orc and Dwarf there is little sight.

Where have all the heroes gone!

Dunhelm the Dwarf was seen around Soubar braggin' a little early at some of his kin recovering spears in the Northern Region. Solving riddles and finding treasures like back in the old days he says. Aye it's a long way to go yet but seems to me Dwarves, and those supportin' them will soon be back on the map. Treasure aplenty to go round and a mighty prize at the end if we keep working.

Now as for Orcs or any other parties not wanting to listen to Dwarves bragging all year. Hardly a sight. Get busy searching or buy some ear plugs for the days ahead.

//13 Imp spears have been put in play so far. Hidden in places sneaky Imps might put them for keen eyed clue solvers to find.

The Dwarves or their friends have one or two recovered. Some other loot besides has been found. The Imps will continue to drop them in the Northern Region and surrounds which will be announced with some dubious IG clues. Running till spear 100 drops or 51 claimed by any faction.

Get involved if you hear the clue dropped IG get hunting or grab a party and get hunting even better. If not you will have to listen to the bragging all year!
