Nwn crashes - Gnoll Boss (Xenflexsomething) and transitions

Hi,

I've begun exploring the surface more with a new toon (Gordiarolo) and went to the 3rd floor of the Gnolls for the first time.

Saw the beholder, thought sod it I'll see what happens and after getting zapped with several beams Nwn CTD. I was expecting the fugue as I was immobile, so logged back in to accept my fate and after several more rays CTD again.

Does anyone else have this problem with the beholder there?

I also occasionally CTD on transitions. Not often, but maybe its linked to something my end? A setting or something?

Anybody with similar issues or tips?

PS. If a DM wants to fugue Gordiarolo feel free, I expect that's where he would have ended up.

Yeah, that beholder has always had a tendency to crash the game.
But it hasn't happend to me in a long time, now that i think of it.

You do use the client extender ?

Yep, use skywings.

It is spotty when it does happen. I am assuming that there are about a hundred things his blast does that cause the CTD due to too many things needing to go through the combat log and it wonks out. The better your connection the less likely it is to happen. So if you have a low connection line of about <25 MB/S it is more likely to happen in my experience.

Beholder magic is powerful! His rays include full range of mutilations for your character, wards strip, petrification, instant death, connections overload, various contagions and dos attacks on your computer, breaking one's NWN2 installation beyond repair, and in worst case (1 on d20 5 times in a row - but still a chance!) it may blow up players PC in his/her face! Best never go there!

Lol, so that is why I had to replace my PSU then, bad die role. Advice noted (And I thought the UD was tough)
