Stunning Fist + Flurry of Blows + Death Attack from Stealth

Hello!

So, is this right or wrong: if you are a monk and attack from stealth (HiPS) and have Death Attack and are using Flurry of Blows and you cue up the initial attack using Stunning Fist...the Stunning Fist does not pop. Nothing in the Combat Log. However, a SF use is taken away.

However, the Death Attacks do show up.

And, after you've come out of stealth, you can cue up another Stunning Fist, and it works just fine.

Is this a "feature?" lol.

the class and ability is irrelevant, thats something that tends to happen regardless if you try to use a special attack first

happens to me using feint or WM ki hit, tho in your case with losing a SF use its probably still the same issue, ive never paid attention to if ki hit went down since i simply stopped trying to do it first

Interesting.

Do you think it is a Death Attack issue, as in, using Flurry + Stunning Fist WITHOUT Death Attack or Assassin levels, would then be okay? Is this something that effects Expose Weakness, or just certain ones, like SF, Feint, WM ki?

as far as ive noticed its everything, whenever ive tried to use a special attack to start a fight it skips the attack and goes to a normal hit

probably only a melee issue tho bc many shot works just fine going first, as well as AA abilities

I experimented last night with Misara, from stealth with Stunning Fist, I didnt have on flurry, but I did land the stun + death attack. So, it does work without flurry, I may test some more tonight. But I had never noticed an issue.

I used to come out of stealth with expose weakness on Cranston and death attack would still apply. I could be wrong, but I think I'd have remembered if EW or DA weren't applying.

EW has always worked out of Stealth, for me. But I can easily see that Bugsidian didn't see the Death Attack + Flurry + Stunning Fist NOT working properly (and their QC never tested that, or it missed the ship date...who knows!?).

Go figure: today I wanted to test out if Expose Weakness worked from out Stealth, and in the effort, I noticed that Stunning Fist was working from out Stealth.

Now...did the NWN2 pull a funny joke on ol' Steve before, or...is it giggling away now, and next time I use it—like when it counts! lol—it will fail?!? Don't know, but...seeing it work today was two Big Thumbs Up!!

Also...weirdness. lol.
