Returning after a long absence, and honestly I'm trying to rekindle a fire for gaming and RP that I think I may have finally lost. I'd like something fairly easy to get behind and go with, so I was thinking a defensive/shield build would be nice. It doesn't have to output massive damage, but should at least be able to kill stuff on it's own.
I'm not looking to have to rp out any strange or unheard of class choices as my character is just a big dude who was good as hitting things and being hit. ((I've toyed around with the thought of doing a half Orc, as I've never really done one before and not having to pretend to be smart for a change may be nice.))
So let me see any build you have, and give me any advice you might have. Also, let me know if you wish to RP. I'll be around these next few days pretty heavily.

Re: Returning player easy build recommendations?
Two things come to mind.
First is a build by Metaquad4 for a half orc fighter, quite strong. Originally for Tales of Amn, but should work fine here too:

The other build that came to mind is Karond's dwarf. I'll drop you a link for that right here:

Good luck!

You should begin with a race you are comfortable playing with. Let us know what you prefer and i am sure many will suggest builds to you
Mendel - Villi of En Dharasha Everae | Nikos Berenicus - Initiate of the Mirari | Efialtes Rodius - Blood Magus | Olaf Garaeif - Dwarven Slayer

Well I'm most comfortable playing a human, but they are the most easy though. It's a default. Half Orc is something I could do though, it's something I've looked into before. I've also done Tiefling stuff before, but it just took so long to level and I was always by myself. I always would get bored...

Doing something simple such as a rouge, fighter, annoited knight / warrior of darkness. Is a pretty simple and healthy build for a human. I'm sure someone will send you a build off NWN2DB that is similar. If not i shall send you a version of it myself.
Cheers mate.

Bringing this thread back to life because it's relevant once again.
Never got around to creating a character, buying a house has a way of sucking my life away.
