Warlocks Vs. Spell resistance

Unread post by Moltrazahn »

Hello!

So... given that most eldritch shapes have "Sr apply" against it... how does that work specific? Will someone with 42 Sr and immunity to acid (because vitriolic blast) be immune to warlock attacks?

Beating SR is d20+CL+feats+spells (assay resistance/mords/breach) so 42 would not be immune (you may be thinking of Greater dispel which CL30 gives immunity based on d20+20 vs. CL+11. For SR with no feats a CL30 Warlock could theoretically defeat up to 50 SR, more if Spell Penetration works on invocations. Granted, Any SR more than 31 has a chance for invocations that have to defeat SR to fail, 42 would be defeated by any roll of 12 or higher (40% chance).

If you're scared of high SR and immune to acid enemies then carry a bunch of Assay Resistance scrolls.

Breach/Mord solves both issues.

d20 + 30 vs 42 does by no means qualify as "immune".

Karond's dwarven defender isn't immune to melee damage because it has high AC and high DR. Just highly resistant.
