Kory makes his way down into the basement of the Friendly arm inn to speak with some adventurers both new and old to the Coast asking about the OLD ORDER and if it still exists upon the coast. The adventurers would discuss at length the current situation of Hunters of Vengeance many leaving in good graces with each other.

*Wulfrik gazed at the gathering of the most unthinkable backgrounds. Truly, this day of meetings had been overwhelming at best.

His asking around had drawn the attention of Kory of house Sentinel. It was assuring that the Storm had not died out on the coast after all and that the stories had been true. Interesting times lay ahead, for certain...*

As the hidden wall begins to open with the usual grating of rock on rock and the obviously Gnomish gear work can be heard ever so slightly from somewhere within the walls he fiddles with his coin of fayt once given to him by Cromis. He thinks fondly of the man so often found with a scowl on his face. The door grinds to a halt and he looks up at the pile of rocks and dirt around a statue that can no longer be discerned for much of anything anymore. He steps through and listens to the scrape of dust and small rock on his boots as he makes his way into the lair. He smiles and nods silently to Old Pharaxxes as he passes into the chamber where a fire is going. Grabbing a mug off the table he gives it a good hard blow and dust dances up into the air from it like leaves on wind. A scowl crosses his face and he pours some water in it rinsing it before filling it with some ale and taking a long draught before spitting out the ale a spray of water droplets like mist at the bottom of a waterfall in the air. HELLS THIS ALE IS BAD! Rings out in the lair with only Kory and Pharaxxes to hear. Kory pens a few letters and begins the process of getting the placed back up to running order. If there was going to be a Order of Hoarites again the place should be a solid comfort for them when needed.

The crackle of the fire is dwarfed in comparison to the loud conversations being had that night in the Phoenix company lodge where our group meets to discuss plans for battle against slavers from the Under Dark. Hunters of Vengeance - A new chapter

Long since these halls hosted more than two souls at once.
By some miracle, no less, a group that couldn't possibly be more diversified, came together to share words.

When the old meets the new, a new chapter starts.

After a half pint of whiskey and a good smoke of his pipe Kory grabs a shovel and starts cleaning out the filth of the Lair. Every so often stopping to take notes on what exactly needs to be fixed as well as cleaned out.

Clean up of the lair proves slow going as the bugbears of the area take every opportunity to hamper and pester Kory as he cleans out old debris and rock from the lair. As the first few fall the rest tend to start staying away and thus his work continues.

A dark-clad rider on a dappled palfrey arrives at the Hunter's Lair.
After a quick look about, he darts towards the door and slides a letter underneath it.
The messenger then re-mounts his steed and hastily rides North-West through the Fields of the Dead.

Koryeneer of House Sentinel meets with Captain Greil of The Ebon Blade Mercenary Company out of Soubar in the North. The two discussed many things but most notably a working alliance in the North to protect the people North of Baldur's gate it was agreed that the people would benefit far more by strong alliances than squabbles of beliefs the two left each other with what was a firm understanding of a budding relationship between Hunters and Ebon Blades to protect the lands North of the gate.




After his meeting Koryeneer headed back to the lair where the tedious work of cleaning up the lair continued

High up in Cloud Peaks near the temple of Auril Kory encounters a strange elf in the cold as he made his way to challenge the frost giants of the area to combat. A chance encounter turns to portents of the future.

Kory stands before the Vault of the Dead surrounded by undead all them chattering teeth or taunting him drawing in getting ever closer. Their stench fills his nose, he scowls for but a moment before he smiles under his helmet uttering prayer and raising his spear high in the air then striking it hard to the ground a burst of magical energy and light radiates out from him healing his wounds and razing every undead around him. In an instant the chattering stops. The bones drop to the ground no longer animated, vampires turn to dust to be blown away and scattered to never rise again. As he looks about him he notices a large man he had missed as he was approaching before being ambushed


Big John: Ah hello there.

Kory Sentinel: Well met. Headed in? Points to the vault

Big John: No was looking for someone.

Kory Sentinel: Oh? Who might that be?

Big John: Yeah, heard they frequented here.

Kory Sentinel: One moment.

A skeleton's teeth chatter and it begins to cast some spells. Without hesitation Kory runs up and sweeps the skeleton with his spear and quickly bashes the skull with the butt end of his spear ending the combat as quickly as it began.

Big John: Nice. Efficient.

Kory Sentinel: Let us speak just inside it is safer.

Kory opens up the large door and offers for the man to step inside the obviously ominous building one might wonder how it could possibly be safer than just outside among the skeletons and vampires of the tainted land. He steps inside closing the great door and leans his spear on the wall removing his helm.

Kory Sentinel: Now I am Koryeneer of House Sentinel and whom do you seek?

Big John: Safer..but that's weird. Looks around Say John Jacobs is my name. I was looking for some called the Sentinel?

Kory Sentinel: I am Koryeneer and the only member of House Sentinel on this Coast that I know of. So it may be me you seek. What can I do for you?

Big John: Nods Well you sure are fit. I brought a letter by boat through the Gate on behalf of my employers.

Kory Sentinel: Well I have my lord and patron Hoar to thank for any prowess I can claim in the heat of battle.

Big John: My employers are from Waterdeep, though are currently West on business and expect to pass this way soon.

Big John: They are three Clerics of Hoar and they had heard of how you were trying to put things together here.

Big John: They hoped they might meet with you as they passed through this area

Kory Sentinel: Indeed. This can be arranged yes.

Big John: Nods I will relay that to them He hands over a letter of introduction They are not clear on their timetable, their business, detains them and may be your business too. They implore you watch for their call.... Looks around Is there somewhere else they can contact you?

Kory Sentinel: Nods accepting the letter and tucking it into a pouch on his belt I can be reached at our lair in Thundar's ride or a letter can always be left for me at any tavern in the gate as well for me to pick up.

Big John: I will instruct them to leave it by the Gate then there is no need to unveil your lair

Kory Sentinel: News of others is a welcome thing tell your employer I look forward to meeting them.

Big John: These are troubling times they tell me; Do you have people that will respond to you? That is what they heard, they hoped.

He prays to Hoar and then heads deeper into the vault razing undead after undead until he finally reaches his target an undead dragon of immense power the battle that would ensue was to be a test of mettle and magic the victor emerging scathed and hurting but alive......Kory steps through the portal and leaves.

An olive-skinned Chessentan woman, who goes by the name of Tasia, has been seen around Baldur's Gate. She has been taking contracts where she can find them, but seems particularly interested in tasks that involve punishing criminals and ne'er-do-wells.

She is a self-professed bounty hunter and can often be found around the taverns. She can sometimes be seen wearing a battered coin on a leather necklace depicting a head with two faces. She makes casual inquiries about the Hunters of Vengeance and where some of their number might be found.

The bits of Winter snow still melting off as early Spring approaches stick to the ground. Untainted purest white in color broken by specks of green here and there. A light breeze comes down the hill off the mountain unusually cold it gnaws at the bones for just a moment as the sun hides behind a cloud its heat and warmth also hidden from the troupe of adventurers who appear in a flash of light and magic just outside the city of Nashkel in Northern Amnish territory. As the breeze passes by Kory the dark black fur of his cloak rises in it dancing about as the cold breeze licks at it. He nods to the other adventurers who have come to his aide. Faelyn Naedithas: There was no magic use from what I've noticed.

Derfel Cadarn: We need dog to sniff and hunt. At least to find corpses of missing ones.

Kory Sentinel: We need a miracle to figure this out like this.

Gunthar: Looks at Kory Any chance you can commune with out lord?

With nothing much left to discover upstairs at the scene of the crime our crew heads back down stairs to speak with the inn keep for just a moment

Kory Sentinel: He is taking quite some time. Perhaps we should go see what is up?

Frigo Deepocke: You're the chief .

Faelyn Naedithas: He decided that it is probably wiser to go down than to jump

Kory Sentinel: It seems Doris is indeed missing as well let us go see what our others have found.



They all head outside to see what Gunthar had discovered after leaping out the inn window with reckless abandon. Soon their worst thoughts are brought to surface as the purity of the white snow is grisly decorated with blood everywhere under the inn window and the bodies of five people badly dismembered and burned almost beyond recognition greet them. Among the remains it is discovered one female the rest all male. Three seem to be the very men who came to see Kory and enlist the aid of the Hunters in the work of Hoar. As Kory reads the journal the priest who wrote weaves a story of assassins and contacts to meet. The priest writes that the one they seek is called The Golden Wolf and as he writes that a knock at his door comes....the journal never finishes as that was to be the last time the priest laid the work to paper with pen as his body was discovered after being murdered. The group agrees that this information is not yet needed to be shared with the city watch yet as they could not trust anyone at this juncture. Once agreed upon they head back to the inn's front door and enter where the city watch is currently speaking with the inn keep already........

City Watchman: RIGHT INNKEEPER just to recap, You have three clerics, one Doris and one paying guest..out there all burned to a crisp?

Ries Kensiddar: That seems a good summary.

Kory Sentinel: That seems to be the case.

City Watchman: And by some strange coincidence these...friends popped by for a ..chat?

Ries Kensiddar: Throws his hands up and looks at Kory

Gunthar: Looks at the guards and the inn keep Are you accusing us of something?

Kory Sentinel: They are priests of the same faith I follow. They were here investigating something that they thought important to our faith.

City Watchman: Likely Doris and ...a guest got killed for what they saw
