What's the exploit with being shifted to chaotic evil?

I'm not aware of any exploits with what we have implemented.

Re: Remove alignment shifts from spells
A Paladin can't cast the spells that would shift alignment to evil, unless it's a Paladin/Sorc, I suppose, but there'd be no way to shift back to LG.
However, a Daggerspell mage, as has been mentioned, cannot be evil, but using this mechanic a player could get whatever level they want in DSM and then spam spells until they hit evil to take BlackGuard for instance. Allowing for a Sorc or Wiz / DSM to take advantage of BG synergies for saves and the like. Any class with enough UMD could also work with someone to get a bunch of scrolls to shift alignment as well., allowing for a Warlock/BG/DSM.

Re: Remove alignment shifts from spells
Considering the spell description I have actually wondered if anyone clad in Abyssal Might should be considered to be KoS for any good aligned character recognizing the spell effect.

Re: Remove alignment shifts from spells
Just out of curiosity: why would some of the mentioned class combos opened up by the alignment shifts be considered exploits (in the sense of undesirable exploits)? Couldn't there be fallen Monks, Paladins, etc. who are drawn to the dark/disorderly side after meddling with magic? Would that be entirely against the lore? Always keen on unusual builds, I thought through a couple of such exploits and found that in each case, they come at a cost - either because they require 5+ caster levels to cast the alignment-shifting spells or because they require 3+ such caster levels and many 100ks of gold (as well as numerous hours of scroll creation/transfer) for relatively little improvement over less quirky builds. If there is a game-breakingly powerful combo that relies on the shift, I have yet to see it. As it is, I regard the alignment shift possibility as a way of giving committed builders a few unusual options to explore.
