Hotkeying expose weakness and similar skills

Hello everyone,

There are certain skills with short cool down timers who seem to get bugged whenever I switch maps. I can usually debug them by using skills that tend to get bugged themselves.
So when expose weakness gets on a 4h timer, I can reactivate it with using arcane infusion, when that one gets stuck I can debug them with something like charge.

Right clicking an enemy and then choosing the ability seems to work as well, but it is extremely slow. I play using a controller and not being able to hotkey everything I do makes me even slower.

Which brings me to the biggest problem, but I somehow think they are related somehow.

Expose weakness works about 40-50% of the time when I activate it. it shows up in the action bar to be next in line, but then she decides to do a regular attack instead. The ability also doesn't go on cool down then.
Only when I right click an enemy does it work 10/10 times.

Is it because the game thinks the ability is on cool down when activate it through a hotkey, therefor causing the skill not to activate? Or is it even a commonly known bug? Last few nights almost every group or pvp battle I did felt like a big slow mess.

Is there a trick or a mod for me to download or utilize to get around this problem?

Feats not staying in an attack queue always seemed to be a lag issue, for me. I experience it often with Feinting.

This is unfortunately a core NWN2 issue, as far as I know no one has fixed it or can (i.e. perhaps it is hard coded). The same thing occurs with bard songs sometimes. agreed it can be very annoying with Expose Weakness, but unfortunately there isn't a solution beyond the right click you already figured out.

Ah that's a shame. I saw some people stacking expose weakness with pretty consistent intervals in between. So I assumed/hoped they had a better way of doing it. Guess I have to force myself to stand still more and improve my defensive stats instead of attacking and moving out before they get a chance to react.

Well if that is not possible, think it is possible to create an option to prioritize the right-click options? So that whenever you right click, you immediately get your preferred action on top.

Or maybe even more simple. be able to right-click the avatar picture that pops up after TAB targetting. Now it just deselects the target. That one can be dragged to a more convenient place and more importantly fixed location on the UI, making it easier to right click quickly.
