Ghostly Visage DR
It appears the 5 DR for ghostly visage is not working. I thought it might be from other spells added on before or after, but this is not the case.
If the text is this color, I am on duty, everything else is just my humble opinion.

Re: Ghostly Visage DR
It's 5 DR for physical dmg, which is defeated by any weapon that is magic.
So if a zombie attacks you, you'll probably prevent 5 points of damage from each attack. If a naga attacked you, it'd probably not prevent anything (as I assume their weapons are magic)
Doesn't do anything to -actual- magic. Like IGMS.

Right, I understand that. But with melee hits from non magical sources.. It doesn't work.
Might need more people to try.. as it might be an account thing, I dunno.

Test by having an undead in Cemetery clobber you. A heck of a lot of player gloves and weapons have some form of enhancements. Same for most NPCs. Those cemetery zombies and skeletons really can't have any enhancement and do 1 or 2 damage hits.

Tried it with gnolls. Got damage reduction absorbs x damage. 5 being the max.
These gnolls were outside on Lion's Way.
Addition: It seemed that the gnolls inside the cave didn't trigger the damage reduction. I'll have to try this again.

Hmm Orcs did not get stopped, neither did boars. Or Goblins.
They dont have magical weapons either.

How do you know they don't have magical weapons? I've dominated lots of these creatures before and they're all wandering the wilderness with 'unidentified' weapons, ie. magic ones.
Most creatures that are CR 5+ have +1 equipment already, wholly negating benefits from spells like Ghostly Visage and the monk Perfect Self ability.
I'm of the personal opinion that -only- boss mobs or special mobs (that is, creatures whose damage reduction ability counts as a weapon enhancement bonus, eg dragons, ghouls, vampires) should have magical weapons with +Enhancement Bonus, but that is one hell of a job to go through all the creature/weapon templates to adjust.

Re: Ghostly Visage DR
Checked again, against gnolls outside works fine, the gnolls inside have likely upgraded their weaponry since it doesn't work against them.
So yeah, enchanted weapons.

Ok, I did glass doppleganger and it looks like the goblin soldiers do in fact have a +1 MorningStar
So that might be case.
