Nope, didn't work.

I tried casting Bull's on my Character, and if failed. Then, I tried Dismissal since it is an Area of Effect spell—casting upon the ground—and it also failed.

Still getting the "You cannot maintain more runes than you already possess." Which, btw, is a pretty weird sentence. It would be more straightforward if the error was written: "Your Inventory of Runes is full," or "You already possess a Rune for each Spell Level allowed."

I'm going to assume here that the last part of the Fix has yet to get uploaded, because my last attempt at using Inscribe Rune, it still returns an error that my PC cannot inscribe more runes than he has, yet he has none, so I'm thinking it is the "phantom runes" issue at play.

Latest iteration:

Used the default CL 25 at Feat initiation. Then, the spell tried to cast using 5 CL ??? Then I rested my PC, then: I saw the last 2 Combat Log errors, which are about what?!?

I'm not sure, you tell me! :lol: Is this a change that is "silent," i.e., not requiring downloaded files, or not? Because I believe quite a few script changes can be done and no files are ever downloaded! :shock:

True, but the next update will have files to download, the changes to inscirbe rune will be done at that moment.

Looking good Monsier Valefort...looking very good! :D

Some questions: is there a Inscribing Gold Coin cost scale (because I can see this "habit" becoming a costly one... :twisted: ) that can be publicly posted?

Also, I tried to inscribe a Rune of higher than my PC's CL, and the system auto-inscribed a Rune down to my actual CL, which is a good thing!!

Also also, dropping a Rune has the result of the Rune disappearing, which I guess makes some sense, but:
A 6th level Hierophant can learn to channel his power into runes, storing the spell for later use. He may store one spell per spell level, creating and imbuing the rune at modest expense compared to scribing a scroll of similar level.

So I'm assuming these Runes actually exist, as objects, and thus, should not just disappear if placed on the ground, or traded, etc. I mean, unless the magic requires that the Runes stay within a 1 meter proximity to the casting Hierophant at all times else they dissolve, it doesn't make sense that the Runes are not...concrete objects.

Mostly, it's a bummer if you accidently drop a Rune, cause that'll cost you a thousand gold coins or more. Could it just be possible to make Inscribed Runes non-tradable/droppable, to protect against this? I know, minor issue...but....

I'll keep testing it out, but otherwise, really cool this PrC is working tip top!

Sorry to be back on this, but I'm hoping for some clarification!

Please look at the combat log, then the resulting Rune. What does (13) stand for, in the equation/what to expect from the scroll?

Also, notice that after using Inscribe Rune, then Resting, I still see that "bad Strref" message.

From a quick look the 13 is irrelevant, just a name, try it and see if it lasts more than 13 rounds to be sure.

For the bad str ref messages try deactivating inscribe rune before resting.
