Thaumaturge Cohort

Any chance the cohort could be made to scale with caster level, so it acts more like an animal companion? As a lvl 6 summon it will probably quickly become cannon fodder in late teens and epics. A little sad for the pinnacle of the Thaumaturge PRC.
Maybe add it to the Augment Summoning script so it checks that the caster has the Planar Cohort feat and then give the cohort some scaling buffs. Just enough to at least make it able to survive a bit better.

Am I right in assuming that the wizard spell Greater Planar Binding also works as a cohort? Unless there is a reason wizards should make better Thaumaturges, the scaling could maybe just be for planar ally/binding?

It works for greater planar binding, which all creatures called from, are about level 16.

Thats about the same for other cohorts like Palemaster's vampire.

New Planar Ally/Binding options should be coming in the next update.

Greater Planar Binding works with cohorts.

Currently, there is no Greater Planar Ally available for clerics but I opened a topic for that on QC forums, so that may change.

I saw a sneak peak of the new planar summons comming, but all of them were evil demons and devils i think. Any chance there will be equally cool new good summons for the planar ally spells?

Maybe a deva or planetar?

Yes, thanks to Nachti there are going to be four types of outsiders available: angels, eladrins, demons and devils.

Planar binding does not seem to get feats applied to it.

Augment summons and beckon the frost don't appear to take with those spells. Not sure why.

Hm, it's maybe a minor thing but perhaps it can be looked into as it seems Thaumaturge has had some fixes needed and it would be good to do it all and leave it to the side once that is over as 'done'.

Currently, there is no Greater Planar Ally available for clerics but I opened a topic for that on QC forums, so that may change.

If it is deemed too strong for clerics in general, maybe have it require the Planar Cohort feat for clerics? It's a pretty big part of being a Thaumaturge.
