The greatest retcon in server history: Elf size

Unread post by Tantive »

...I think!

Let me say what. Did you know that in forgotten realms, elves are supposed to have human heights? Well the people here apparently knew that, as they made a mod!

https://neverwintervault.org/project/nw ... -duergar-2
This is a 2da modification that brings elven height in NWN 2 in line with FR standards ( so elves/half-elves are now as tall as humans and drow as tall as elves were before), and also renders the duergar thinner than standard dwarves, as they should be. Simply extract this file into your override. Please let me know if it does not work.
Also, it mentions duergar.

What about Shield Dwarves? NWN2 has then half a foot shorter then they should be in FR lore!

Halflings though, that's 3.0 D@D that shrank them, not nwn2 lol

One thing I don't understand,

why are human heights in FR the same as german U.S immigrants'?

Wouldn't mediterrean averages fit the Sword Coast more?

6 feet tall doesn't sound average to me. At all.

For Italy, for men, it's 5'8"/5'9" and for women it's 5'4"

For Germany, 5'10" and 5'6".

Ha, I remember when BG first came out. I was psyched! I planned my char out beforehand while waiting for it to arrive - Elven ranger (of course). Then I got in game and saw my lanky 'little' sis Imoen towering over my sprite and I was like wtf is this? :x

When I rolled Tasia I envisioned her being about 5'7" so I left the slider in the middle thinking that's average, right? Nope! She's taller than most of the male human NPCs for some reason.

For humans, I've always imagined the far left of the slider to be 5'0", the center 6'0", the far right 7'0".
