Server Requirements - Do I need the expansions to play?

Unread post by Blackrose »

I believe there is a Official Thread about this but I can't find.

When I entered the mines in Cloakwood I read a sign: "SoZ monsters". Then I asked myself if is possible to play in the server with only the original neverwinter nights and, if so, what is the limits playing without the expansions.

I say that because many friends want to join and they don't have all the expansions.

It's possible but quite annoying as they just won't see the Batiri but just spears being used, it's playable ... but not enjoyable. They'll also miss on the classes and PRCs from SoZ like Swashbuckler.

GoG sells the full game for $20, and sometimes they put it on sale for less.
