Help with Harper Agent
I've been trying to come up with a decent Harper Agent build. From what I've seen so far, bard/rogue/HA seems like a decent choice, but I'm uncertain as for how to do it. Can anyone help me sketching something up?

Re: Help with Harper Agent
I'd say the best use of harper agent is with a arcane/divine char, in order to get a good amount of skills but retain spellcasting (since its 4/5).
Here is a good one:
5 Wizard/5 Harper Agent as a base.
10 Palemaster
10 Arcane Scholar
10 Blood Magus
10 Frost Mage
Of course, my favorite is the classic 5 Wizard/5 Harper Agent/10 Palemaster/10 Blood Magus.
any combo of the above would be good.
9 Druid/3 Harper Agent/10 Hospitalier/8 Hierophant might also be possible.
Or swap druid for Spirit Shaman or Cleric.

Not that I don't like it, but boy, I can't begin trying to imagine a RP concept fitting all of that (but perhaps that's just my fault anyway)!metaquad4 wrote:Of course, my favorite is the classic 5 Wizard/5 Harper Agent/10 Palemaster/10 Blood Magus.
I'd probably go with ASC, though. That's giving me some more ideas.
What about bard combinations? Would you recommend any? Perhaps some with some other PrC?

Lemme ask you a question slightly out of topic: is it hard for someone who isn't very used to playing wizards to grow one from zero or should I go fighter until 10 and RCR?Valefort wrote:wizard 23/ AM 4 / HA 3 can be rather good !

I'd say no, it's quite doable ! Use summons and invisibility to be safe or simply party up, you should have no particular issues.

Valeforts works, or, you could go W25/HA5 which gains an extra feat and doesn't need to worry about ArchMage spell loss or pre-requisites.
if you do go AM I would suggest W21/HA3/AM6. However, due to feat requirements you really might be better off just going straight Wiz/HA and trying to pump DC as high as you can.

Re: Help with Harper Agent
Right!
So first of all, as I said before, I have little (to avoid saying none) idea of how to build a wizard from 0, so I'm still studying some examples to come up with my own build. I'm really not ignoring your suggestions, folks!
Meanwhile, I wanted your advice on these two variations of the same concept I made, bard/HA/Dissonant Chord/X:
The first one has a rogue mix: http://nwn2db.com/build/?262461
On the good side, it has Evasion, Uncanny Dodge + rogue skills.
On the bad side, it lacks Fortitude and also the BAB isn't that good.
The second take changes it a bit and goes divine champion: http://nwn2db.com/build/?262469
Goodies: a way better fortitude save, extra feat and some more BAB.
Baddies: fewer skills and no Evasion/UD
I thought about going Anointed instead of Divine in this one, but...not sure.
About spells, a question:
- Does that mean my caster level will be 26 in both cases? How terrible is that?
Oh, don't mind the skills. I screwed them up but I'll fix that later.

I'm not sure about the builds, but CL is kind of a big deal, considering the current state of the dispels.

Re: Help with Harper Agent
Negotiator is not the prerequisite feats for HA on BGTSCC, its alertness and iron will.
Also id toss away blind fighting for power attack since you clearly intend it to melee for more dps.

Oh, I know! I just picked it to fill the builder's requisites! Sorry for not making that clear.Storm Munin wrote:Negotiator is not the prerequisite feats for HA on BGTSCC, its alertness and iron will.

I think I like that version too. Sadly the BAB isn't as high as I hoped it would be.
